Moonglow zoo question

My tamer is on a low-population shard (LA). I've recently started taming and donating ki-rin to the zoo to earn the contributor points and to get my taming skill gains.

The other day, instead of donating the pets and popping out as I usually do, I decided to take a walk through the zoo. Turns out that there are no animals at all in the zoo. Is this because not many player chars are donating?

Made me kind of sad to read the signs for the beasts that were supposed to be in their cages...

I grew up with the Moonglow zoo. Long ago they used to allow you to attack the zoo creatures which helped you to train your skills. Liches would spawn in the graveyard by the zoo but the spawn was slow so we would go kill off the zoo or before I was powerful enough to kill a lich I would go there to train. It usualy respawned the next day but there was a while that I never saw an animal in the zoo not sure why.

When you look at the box that allows to make donations to the zoo you'll see the zoo level.
The number of pets on display at the zoo depends of that level so if it's low it's normal that there are no pets.

And you can't attack the pets anymore by the way

jeza - thanks for the info. I looked at the donation status yesterday and noticed we were at level 1, just a hair over 1,000,000 donation points. I took a quick look around the zoo and wouldn't you know, there's a crane in the exhibit now that wasn't there a couple days ago! We have an animal!!! Yippie!

Long way to go before we get another one though, and I'm guessing the donations points start to drop if incoming donations don't continue. Come on LA shard, we can do it!
