(Player Event) Moonglow Gold - Donation Center

It has come to my attention that some are not aware that I have set up a Donation Vendor at The Golden Pickaxe Vendors. This is an ideal I got from Chesapeake Auction house. I thought it would be an easier way for people to donate that might want to. If you like the events and would like to donate some gold you can simply stop by buy a book or two. Put them in the mail box and I will acknowledge the donation during an event or Kings Meeting. You may keep them too if you would like.

We will use the gold to buy theme appropriate prizes, payment for services, and projects. The basic ideal is that the money we have, we spend. I have no intentions on opening a trade deal. The money is better used buying items from other players.
Thanks

If you check the Governor's Stone, I believe that players can also drop an item directly onto the stone and it saves it in a pack that is only recoverable by the Governor. Donations of gold to the Town Stone Fund get dropped onto the man next to the stone so I believe these are totally separate and would also work for you. It might be an easier system than having folk outside a guard zone trying to find a house. Worth testing?

You are correct that you can donate at the stone. But the Vendor house is a Guard zone house; the line is about 5 or 6 steps from the mailbox btw. I hope this does not come across as begging. We do get donations, some have been very generous. What we do get we put back out for public use. I mentioned that we set one up while speaking with someone in chat and someone chimed in asking where it was. This person donated a great deal of gold. This system allows me to know who donated and gives the option to remain unknown; the stone doesn't tell me who. I want to acknowledge the players who do choose to donate, i do think it's important to give credit where it is due. I hope this clears up my reasoning for setting this up.
Thanks for the response

Good Info. I am glad to know that folk are donating on Siege. I spent two terms as Governor of Moonglow on Atlantic and never had any donations... just a lot of messages asking for a specific town buff, etc. Keep up the good work in Moonglow. :)

I am happy to see the donations too. It does make it easier on us if we don't have to collect gold on top of the supplies needed to put one together. I for one can't afford to pay for many of these without some assistance. however, i have not put together a large one without help from several people on Siege - it would be impossible. That is the best part of putting together an Event is the people I meet collecting things. It really reminds me of how the game was when i began.
