monster loot tables

Hi there,
Waaayyy back when, I remember seeing a post about monster loot tables in regards to what gave what, at what level.
Something like Blood Elemental: FILTHY_RICH X2 or something and then a definition for what FILTHY_RICH equated out to.

Right now what critter gives the best loot vs. risk?

Any clues? ( I accept donations so I can buy myself a clue if I have missed some obvious post somewhere else)
