Monday 8th February - match three of the Chicken Lizard season including results

A reminder, the third meeting of our 'season' will be on Monday, 8 February, 8PM UK time - as always, at the O*T arena

Current points status for victories stands at :

2 : Midnight
1 : Spike, Frosty, Cyanide, Shadow, Lime, ThrobbingGristle, Spot, SnotKlap and Nugget.

So at one point per victory, the league is still wide open - plenty of time for you to train a winner before the first season ends in June!

As last time, betting maximum will be 50k so even if you don't have a contender in a bout, you may still have a fun and profitable evening cheering your favourite and taking our money ;)

When betting it is helpful if people say the amount they are betting, As well as who for.

For example:

In a fight between Chicken A and Chicken B you would come to the desk and hand over what you wish to bet and say:

50k Chicken A

This way if anything goes wrong we have a journal backup to see what amount you betted and who on - Thanks!

I'll be there with Midnight who's keen to defend his position at the top of the league table. I'm not sure how he's done this to be honest - his stats, etc are nothing to get excited about. But seems he has a very determined streak and doesn't like being beaten.

If none of your 4 eggs hatches into a Battle Chickie, give me a shout and I'll give you a BC Egg :D

well thats another 4 eggs donated to the post box and another 9 laid, so on a grand total of 31 chicken lizard eggs to 0 battle chicken lizard eggs.

Yep it can be a real pain at times. I raised about 30 eggs before I got my first Battle Chick.

And just to show how weird it is at a later hatching of 5, I got 3 battle chickens.

Horribly late, since life is conspiring to keep me off my computer lately, but here are the results from the 8th!

We got through 6 bouts, in a shade over an hour, and things went thus :

Spike vs Pepper - Pepper's first appearance, not fully trained but extremely keen, as she showed by putting up a very strong fight. In the end Spike had the edge, but we will have to watch Pepper, with a little more training I reckon she's a potential champion!

Midnight vs Frosty - Frosty has a mixed record of performances going back to the pre-season meeting she's usually had the stats and skills advantage, but failed to show the needed 'killer instinct', and up against the current champion it did not look good for her. However... maybe something about the occasion was inspiring, Midnight was fast and strong as ever, But Frosty seemed fired up and proved too much for Midnight on the evening.
Shadow vs Geeko - Two well-matched birds, and an epic fight, right down to the wire there was absolutely nothing in it. Finally Shadow got in the last peck, and got a well deserved win, but Geeko performed superbly. One of those fights neither deserved to lose.

Cyanide vs Spot - Spot piled in very fast, presumably Cyanide's bright green colouring made her a clear target, and Spot's first rush attack looked promising. Cyanide held in there though, and gradually turned the fight around. Good win for Cyanide, Spot needs a little more work on the skills but there's no doubt about her enthusiasm!

BlueBlaze vs Lemon - Both 'new' and fairly untrained, Lemon ran straight in to the fight but made no headway. Rather like running into a wall, really.... BlueBlaze got the lead, built on it fast, and outmatched Lemon pretty comprehensively.

Sky vs Cerulean - VERY close fight, tiny edge on stats for Sky, tiny edge on skills for Cerulean, made early prediction ofa result hard. The fight was incredibly close right the way through, eventually Cerulean landed a blow a fraction before she would have gone under, and scraped the win.

So, the league results remain wide open, since our previous leader Midnight lost a bout this evening, we have the following situation,

2 : Midnight, Spike, Frosty, Cyanide, Shadow
1 : Lime, ThrobbingGristle, Spot, SnotKlap, Nugget, BlueBlaze, Cerulean.

Next meeting planned for Monday 22 February, 8PM UK time! Hope to see some of you there ;)
