Just wondering does momentum strike work with bows or is it strictly melee? It would make sense if it works just for melee, but thought I'd check.

it does not work for bows

It does work for bows, but your targets need to be in a square next to you.
Yes.
If you shot at a guy 7 tiles away from you, momentum strike will still hit the guy RIGHT next to you
