Mods, is an 'Ideas' forum possible?

I liked the old 'Ideas Den' forum. I'd like to post ideas and read others posted ideas. At the same time I don't want to clutter up UHall w/ the posts.

I'm not really sure if mods even have the ability to create forums or not. Anyhow, if it's not possible, I'd prefer that answer to none at all.

We had this discussion before... i.e. when forums were moved to vboards after the Big Crash. I believe the vote (even from the EA/Mythic people) went towards "keeping it all in the UHall" and individual submissions via the EA's e-mail system.

Obviously, you can petition again.

The problem is, the ideas need to be seen by the devs or else, it becomes a null idea. Over the years here at Stratics the devs have pretty much stuck to discussion on UHall. Unless the devs ask for a seperate forum for ideas, and acknowledge they will be participating in the discussion of these ideas, I don't see much need for an "Idea" forum...la

While Devs reading post are nice, its not the only reason troll. Perhaps we would like to kick our own ideas around, and not do it in the UHall.

Ahh, ok. I didn't remember that outcome. Rico also makes a valid point about the visibility of ideas in a separate thread. I appreciate the responce.
