Missed opportunity

While waiting for my spinal tap yesterday, my mind wandered to more painful things like training legendary fishing. It's a shame that the devs didn't take advantage of the cooking thing. It should take at least legendary cooking to make these ultra powerful fish pies. Perhaps a quest system could have been set up. You could start with chicken pies (unstackable, of course) that could only be made near a public oven, deliverable to fun places in Felluca. Then as you attain skill, you would be required to make (perhaps) mongbat pies, graduating slowly through the animal kingdom to really fun pies made out of greater dragons and such. Imagine the day you could finally decide to make a dolphin pie, allowing a legendary bard to play a song that (if he is a legendary detect hidden) will allow him to find anyone in game for three minutes.

Wow, how different players see things differently is amazing......

I posted the Poll about the magic pies and from several of the posts (and the low voting), I gathered that the interest in this "powerful" magic pies ain't what I thought it was.......

I also think they are cool and helpfull but apparently, not many other UO players think likewise.....

Actually Im opposed to more consumables in this game, but while they are adding pies, why not add sushi for the Japanese players? Heck, I dont know how many times I've had rolls with funny names, like Red Dragon roll, Tsunami roll...granted they are americanized names, but cant be that difficult to see Reaper roll, Summer Dragonfish roll in-game!
