I voted yes too. I do not feel griefing is a problem on Siege. PKing and stealing have nothing to do with griefing unless someone go for same target over and over without a good reason. I believe Siege can take care of our trouble makers.

Looking at the people who have voted thus far, there are only about four names that I do not recognise as regular members of the Siege community (which is not to say that those aren't).
The fact remains that not everyne uses stratics.

The sample poll of the players that do have Stratics accounts and play Siege is a significant indicator that most overwhelmingly support the idea of the new content.

..," People on Siege seem to think if you get PKed, your being griefed. IF a thief steals something from you, they think they are being griefed. Don't believe me? Look at how many people cried about the Valentines Roses or The Eggs. People need to realize that none of the above is griefing and its called playing the game and if those are things you hate, Siege is not for you.".

What people on Siege are you saying think this way? When gifts are giving like Valentines Roses and the Easter Eggs. People who do not play Siege, jump here and ask in general chat " Hey where can I collect...? " People who play here, say ya go here....! Then a few minutes later in general chat ya hear......., wtf from said Siege visitor! Then out comes the accusations about griefing on Siege! But in all honesty from people you know that play Siege and have done so for more then a month or so. Friends and foes a like, which are truely the community of Siege , would have said it was griefing?

When I first started to PK people when I came back, people were upset about. Just ask Kelmo, he was highly against it.

Upset is a far thing from the word griefing. I remember a quite a few people being upset. I do not believe it had to do with acts pking or stealing on Siege.

Mollie (me) voted no by accident, I actually meant yes so please adjust the figure in your head like the word 'no' did to me after a 12 hour shift and a few erm, puffs.

I know your old, but the sentance is english. Peole who dont play Siege come to Siege forums and vote on poll just cause they might play Siege. Do Ki need to be more clear?!

Also, typos for tablet typing!
Rumpy, I like a lot of your posts, but clarifying messages should be... well, clear. Do we need Ki's input? ;)

Lucy. If you really would like to change your vote, send a PM to Petra. An Admin is able to help you with such and this is a pretty important poll.

When it comes to Siege, I think this game puts way too much emphasis on items/stuff. If items were freely obtainable then people would seek them out (like you kill an effusion = crystalline ring, etc.). People would then either use or sell it because it's useful. It's worth logging on for 30 minutes because you get a reward for your Monday night after work. The super cool items aren't some rare, showcased in a private house that 2 people see. The super cool items are the ones that enable you to play. Could you imagine, Doom gauntlet, peerless bosses, abyss bosses, champion spawns, all of it going on all the time and players not only doing stuff, but pumping items into the community. Then - going out and dying wouldn't be painful. It wouldn't be convenient, but it wouldn't hinder someone from going out again. And for me, that is where the interaction happens. Instead, it's a game of hide and seek, hunter and prey - all of it purely intentional. If you want combat, put in 2 coins and go. It's not happenstance. It's not an emmersive conflict. For me, going out hunting monsters and happening upon someone. That's when the world of ultima online opened up. For a very long time that keystone of player interaction has been missing. That doesn't mean get rid of item chasing, because that's fun too. Rares, decos and fun items like the bloody sash. Cool. Siege is unique. No xfer dupe crap.

Siege needs a working world. One where even if there's only 300 people playing it, that they're all doing something and shaping the community. Whether it's out adding items to it, out getting currency, out trading, pking, creating, building, fighting, dying, whatever. Players need to play.

Thanks.

PS. I think it's funny that people are calling this a trammel based system.

When you came back I ran past you in shame and thought, cool another blue. Then as I ran by I seen spells come up and a message sYin ... is attacking you. I took off running and thought, can it be? A pk here on siege? I thought they were extinct? I hadnt had that rush of excitement in awhile. Koodoos to Rumpy for keeping Siege real. Pk's are a part of Siege. Too bad there's not more :(

I was on my tablet and didn't have it plugged into the docking station for the keyboard. Its a pain to type on otherwise and edit stuff.

Thanks Morder. I agree there should be more, as the red population is pretty damn low. Its what keeps the spirit of Siege alive.

Yes i also agree the red activity is essential to my enjoyment...not reds per se, but the adrenaline rush i get from avoiding thefts or defending myself from attackers of all colors, shapes, and forms! Thats what keeps me here. Challenge!

PvE was so much funner when I had to look over my shoulder. Haven't been playing much but I think I would give this a go if implemented. I voted yes.
