After 12 plus years I decided to make a begger last month for the upcoming Halloween season. Well it is here and it is bittersweet. The sweet part is that the heads on the spikes are one of my favorite items in game in the past few years and I can actually trick or treat for them. The bitter part is I have trick or treated well over 30 hours and have acquired 29 heads on spikes during this time but not a single Mesanna head ! It is very annoying and I am at the point I want to tear my hair out and let me tell you that would not be a pretty look on me.
I just want the full set of 11 and give my hands , eyes and trick or treat macro a rest and do other things in the realm but I must have the Mesanna head ! * laughs *

Is anyone else noticing this slow drop rate ?

p.s. and I have tried to trade 5-10 heads for one Mesanna and no luck on GL

My first 7 were all unique, Mesanna was the second one i got. I was thinking they did it by design. I thought they may have coded it so each time you got a head it was ticked off the list and you never got the same one twice. I'm now trying to get a second full set and this time they are all coming out in doubles triples etc, but i have 4 mesanna heads

I'm in the same boat :mad: 10 days of trick or treating, 19 heads on a spike, 85 of last years junk reward crap and not one Mesanna spike.

Heck, I've had my GM beggar out and about quite a bit and, so far, have received only one new head on a spike (plenty of the old stuff, though). It's hit and miss, I guess... but since I'm not fond of bloody displays anyway, I can't really complain. :cool:

*looks shyly about*... Hate to say but went trick or treating on my beggar and the Second Head I got was Mesanna..... First was MsTroubleMaker...

Now haven't gotten another since but .... I'm happy with my full set.

Pretty sure the mesanna spikes are no rarer than the others...Just people hype anything with here name on it...lets see in a coupe of weeks.

To be fair .....Mesanna as kinda made her own ''brand'' !! A collectors dream....

Well its totally RNG... and normally i am not really lucky in that...

But i got 4 Mesanna Heads out of 15 heads. Lucky me this time...

I have 40+ heads now and no messana...I don't mind, i am just on the wrong side of variance this time. The only thing I will care about is if they re-introduce the items next year as I would like to save these and sell them later as a reward for my hard work.

I have 100 of every kind of candy. (plus whatever was stolen from me from the evil twin) and NO heads on a pike at all.
Don't see myself trick or treating anymore.

I have 2 GM Beggars on 2 different accounts both named Bill...

Now first Bill had no problem getting heads .... got a full set in short order.... second Bill can't get one to save his life... Go figure.

First Bill has about 460 luck or something like that second Bill has none...

First Bill seemed to get "Tricked" About every 4 or 5 treats... Second Bill gets "Tricked" 4 or 5 times in a row..... VERY annoying. Seriously getting tired of being tricked...

Now one would think that with GM Begging not only should you get more treats.... but you shouldn't get tricked as much..... so much for that.

Next I hear that with just 5 begging people are getting the webs and stuff... Just ain't right. Just saying that all that work building up Begging ought to count for something.



Now if you ask me either the code is SERIOUSLY borked.... or the RNG is... Just my opinion.

You don't have to. You just need GM begging to get the "special" treats. And even then might not get any...

After 21,225 trick or treats over the past week the 30th head dropped in my pack tonight and it was NOT Mesanna ! A kind soul by the name of Armani traded with me and I now have a full set. I started giving my extra heads away in general chat to people that only needed one more to finish a set. I feel their pain. NO MORE trick or treating until next year for this girl ! I love my heads on a spike.

30 heads divided by 11 is 3 (ish) each if the distribution was exact, which of course it won't be with such a small sample size, so some not turning up at all isn't too unlikely. I just think people notice Mesanna more due to her relative fame and desirability, and the hope they'll be dyed later; Even if she drops as regularly as anyone else, people are hanging onto their own drops rather than traidng as they always do, so there's less in the market. But my own figures don't indicate she's any rarer, indeed I got her 3 times, she was one of my highest... but one went for 28m would you believe at a recent Europa auction? Madness, really!

Sell/Trade your doubles and buy or trade for a Mesanna Head on a Spike.
Isn't that part of being in a Community is about and the reason UO has an Economy ?

Dear Mesanna,

now 15 days passed since this halloween event has been started ... and still no head of you. This is more than painful - it's cruzifying someone :(. So plz - if this event is over and some of us are still without a head be fair to give us a change to complete our "head-sets" ...

Clearly some people invested too much time and emotion into pixels, I guess one man's/woman's trash is another's treasure. I can't believe people whine on stuffs like this.
