Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but it seems a bit stupid to me that the cloak, when double clicked brings up a targeter. I was messing about thinking it may have something to do with cloak of corruption, threads of life etc... When i noticed the message "you cannot use the powder on that item". Curious, i clicked on a weapon, and got the message "You successfully use the powder on the item, you have used up your powder of fortification. Great, I just lost my cloak, and this being my only blue character on my account im a little annoyed...

Can we get this fixed?

Sure sounds buglike.

I also noticed that the cloak has durability numbers, like armor. Other clothing (like the vet reward cloak) does not have this. You get the cloak and it's at 255/255 and it starts taking damage, going to 254/255 and then keeps going down as you use it.

Just don't target any armor or clothing if you double-clicked your cloak.

You cannot use PoF on the cloak but you can repair it.

Thanks for the generosity, but it's fine, I just wish they would have fixed this before going live so I didn't have to loose it in the first place.

Oh come on now. You guys can set it up so we can drop the cloaks we've already gotten on Captain Avery or someone and have a replacement that doesn't have this bug on it given to us in our packs. I know for a fact that I'm not alone in having already run every single one of my characters through this quest chain.

Give us a chance to receive fixed version: clear quest completed flag on chars or make some kind of turn-in.

Have you investigated whether or not this bug will interfere with any use the cloak may have later in the event? If so, what were the results?

Does the cloak having durability impact other clothing items that have resists or other properties (Robe of the Equinox, vet reward cloaks)? (Note fishing poles which have no durability, and will sometimes break if a monster attacks you while you're holding it.)

Can you or anyone comment on the trend of new items in the game being non-PoFable?

You cannot use PoF on the cloak

Oh brother, it's like the dungeon shield drops. That deal greatly degrades the thing, wish that hadn't been done that way. If you make unique stuff in the existing environment I feel we should be able to keep and use it as long as we like, like the rest of our gear.

Sad to hear the cloak cannot be repaired, but why not let us turn them in to Buford for 25,000 point spring cleanup ticket, and add a new "fixed" Melissa's cloak from the reward list?

.... and how bout that fixed version be such that it can be fortified or does not take damage =p

I retract my earlier comment. Cloaks that have already been received WILL be fixed too. You can wear your cloak np, just don't double-click them until the fix is in. Also, keep in mind this cloak has durability and you cannot use PoF on it. So use it wisely.

I actually did have a feeling you were wrong on this one...I have noticed that within the last several years, you all seem to have figured out ways to change things already in the game to a degree not seen before. Remember when the Ornate Axe nerf was applied to ornate axes that were already in the game? Before that, I hadn't seen retroactive fixes before. (Taskmasters, for example, have pre-patch and post-patch versions.)

There doesn't seem to be much in the way of pre-patch/post-patch stuff anymore, which on balance is a good thing.
