Melisande and Fallen Mystic Spellbook

Can anyone tell me why I would get more damage from the tomb of lost knowledge than I would with Fallen Mystic? I get 438 damage on WOD with the fallen mystic and 453 with the tomb of lost knowledge. Being that the fallen mystic is a fey slayer, I would expect the opposite. Any input would be appreciated.

spellweaving damage isnt affected by slayers. Only exception to that is Dark Father from Doom which is affected by Elemental slayers.
SO in your case the spellbook with more spell damage increase % would do the more damage.

Try casting fire offensive spells instead of WOD. I open with corpse skin and fire offensive and finish her with WOD for 800+ damage on a good day.
