Meeting with Hannah/curing Nathan [posting IC]

The book from the royal physician and the tale that it told was the second surprise of the evening for me. The story that Hannah told us of her father has provoked much thought. If I recall the story correctly, Mericles gave chase to someone who he belived to be spying upon him, the chase ended in Ilshenar where upon Mericled trapped the spy within magical fields of force. Mericles then attempeted to stab the spy with a dagger but to his horror found that he could not penetrate his own fields of magic, disgruntled, he dispelled the magic to attempt murder but fortunately for the spy he managed to escape.

As some of us discussed last night there are 'rules' of magic that allow/disallow mages to walk through their own magic's, however, it could simply be that Mericles is now susceptible to this side effect of his magic, or that the location (Ilshenar) played a part in this or (and i hope this is so) that he is susceptible to this type of magic whoever casts it.

it is good at last to know that Mericles has a possible weakness. As a side note I think the spy might have been Nathan and so we need to be prepared that he does not try on his life again by hampering our cure attempt tonight, he is already interesed in what we are doing as Hannah is involved.

Indeed Lady Flame, the fact that we were attacked last night enforces the need to be vigilant at all times.
Speaking for myself, I would like to congratulate the guardsmen for their exemplary display last night in the execution of their duties and the safeguarding of Miss Hannah.
I am mindful however that this time consuming exercise may be distracting the guardsmen from other duties that they may be charged with and that it is also a drain on resources for them and therefore wonder if other towns should be asked to share this huge responsibility.

I fully agree that the Guards and the Knights did an excellant job last night and I hope they assist again this evening. I also agree that this is not there burden only and would welcome aid from other towns and individuals.

It was a shock to discover that Miss Hannah has been stricken with the same aliment as commander Nathan but fortuitous in that the potion we quested for last night holds two dose's.
Fortune also seemed to play a part in the recovery of the necessary ingredients with the appearance and help of Mr Timpe.
Sadly Nathan was in such a deep sleep we were unable to administer the elixir last night but I am hopeful that the healers will have accomplished this by now.
I shall be calling in on Nathan en-route to the Councellors hall this evening.

a good idea I shell see you in Trinsic healers, and I cannot understand how Mellisa got to Hannah to hex her too. Also I do not know why she took interest in Hannah, other that say Nathan mentioned that he felt Hannah and Clainin were linked in some way

Although it was good to see Nathan and Hannah recovering together, with Stewan also recovering from his wounds in the same building are we not giving evil forces the ideal oppotunity to stike a devastating blow against us?

I was pleased to see that the authorities in Trinsic have already set up man'ed barricades at the enterance to the healers. Although barricades and Guards did not prevent some evil force getting to Hannah to hex her as well. I cannot help thinking that it might be a coincidence that Nathan was hex'ed at the same time or around the same time as the explotion, as I am struggling to make the link with Hannah getting hex'ed. The only links I have come up with so far is as I mentioned before Nathan thinks Hannah was linked to Clainin in some way. Or could it be her father is the one who has placed this hex on them both?
