I cannot, will not even try to relate the number and length of phone calls to support trying to get my 151 month account online again.

Until now, it has never been deactivated. The people working support have without fail been polite and responsive, once I have managed to get though to support on the phone.

That said.......

The reasons I remain addicted to UO are: interactions with friends I have known for years, housing, and the option of living my tidy little in-game life-style where such a variety of activies are available.

I have been pushed to the edge this time. Spending countless hours on the phone explaining again and again the problems i am having concerning linking accounts, setting up trial accounts in order to link, attempting to set up again and again the account renewal information, etc., boggles the mind. The last few days I have spent more time on the phone with the support staff than i have spent in game!

I wish I had kept an accurate journal of the time involved and how often I have had to give account information and credit card information. How many hours I have spent waiting for someone to fix the problem.

I can now access four of five active accounts, am not even going to try on the two non-active accounts. But access to the oldest account is still denied.

Is anyone familiar with the term Red-Headed stepchild?

I am not looking for the clouds to part and a chorus of etherial music along with a finger sending lightning to fix the problems, just needed to get this off my chest (as it were). Thanks to those who have taken the time to read this. I am, of course, open to any suggestions for curing this problem.

I found that calling on the phone was the worst mistake to make for the migration. The person will assign an EA email to your account in order to look up information. Then when you try to migrate, the system will not recognize your parent email account. When you call EA back (and get a different person) they will tell you that this is not your account. At this point I had to show them billing information in order for them to remove the temporay ea email account. Make sure you get this EA email account user name and password while you are on the phone, then you can still access your account to link them and then change the eamil back. I do not know if this applies to you or not. I found it way easier to use the online chat support and request one of the people working on account migration get on the chat with you.

I never got any help from EA, but the guys at Mythic fixed things on the spot. I asked to be transferred to Mythic about 10 times before they actually listened to me.

I originally followed the post you reference. Worked fine. I was fat and happy for a short while. could get into game, relax and enjoy.

then, access was lost because from what i have been able to gather, the process did not allow for automatic monthly billing. So, i worked through that process with help from a rep during phone call. All appeared good for a few days. Then all access was again lost.

called again, service rep had me relink again to a diff account as my master.

Rinse, repeat once again when i could not get access to the accounts. Was walked through the process of re-linking again.

That time it worked for 24 hours..... whoopie, I thought i had it under control.

At this point, it was my intention to just hang in there and try to drop the auto-renewal after everything had worked quietly for a month or so. BUT...... again lost access to the oldest account.

oh, yes... during all of this I was told on two separate occasions that the oldest account no longer existed. Now, I have had I believe a total of seven attempts to work this problem with support online.

I am retired, so have the freedom to play several hours each day if I wish. Have tried other games, but none offer the variety of play styles that UO does. I am not computer illiterate (well, not totally)..... been playing online games since the early dos games.

I do appreciate your input, and am not intentionally being argumentive, please believe that. I had hoped to be with UO until the day either the game or myself die. Almost given up on this.

Sorry, just have to vent now and then.

Hi Eve,

Not sure I have much to offer, but from the very start I couldn't call support because the calls would be too expensive since I am in Canada West Coast and it is not a toll free number so being left in que for ages wasn't my cup of tea.

I finally learned I could link all my accounts by first going to my Internet provider and getting them to give me three new E-mail numbers which I would use solely for the UO Accounts with EA MYTHIC.

A very OLD account that had been totally blocked because of lack of billing information - - and no reason for that old account to be blocked as it had been in good standing and auto paid for over 13 years..I was able to re-supply New Billing INformation by doing the following:

I went to Mythic Origina Account Management
https://accounts.eamythic.com/
- started a new Mythic Account (bottom RH side of page) using my new E-mail and a new Password, and linked my 8 oldest accounts to Mythic Master but discovered that once I had a new Mythic Master Account, I had to use that info ID to log in to my new EA account (top LH side of their log-in menu.) So by logging into my EA account I was able to link all 8 accounts and get that blocked account's information updated, plus I aslo updated my other 7 accounts to refresh the billing information.

After that, registered the next few active accounts using the second E-mail to start the new Mythic Master Account and then lused that ID to log- in to EA (top LH side of log-in page) using the second new ID from Mythic Master account .. and fter linking my remaining active accounts to that Mythic Master account, I was able to proceed to upgrade the billing information on those accounts.

Finally all my bills have been coming in with a few corrections on some double billings. So I have had no further problems except for the few earlier E-mails from the original EA POGO billings saying subscriptions would be ended due to lack of billing information. But checking all my accounts showed they were all paid so I didn't do much else except send E-mails to them.

I haven't yet tried to link other 'closed accounts' to EA/Mythic because I closed them deliberately and I don't want to reopen them. I need to shut down more. This game is my main source of entertainment in the winter months. :)

But hopefully, perhaps something I have written above may help you.

Good luck. It is very exasperating! Don't give up. Like you, I find the game interesting as it offers such a large variety of things to do, and I love the art and animations ... so I too intend to stay with it until someone pulls the plug and says, "ENOUGH!" I don't play any other games. Enjoy and be safe. :)

Yes I have to say dont speak to anyone from 'EA' they dont know what they are doing, always always select the Warhammer/DAoC option from the menu when you call, those guys do know what they are doing and do actually have access to the right account information.

You didn't start a new Mythic Master Account, since that is not possible.
What you actually did was to create a new EA account and link to it the mythic master accounts that were automatically created during the account migration at the beginning of august.
The bottom right part of the webpage is used to select an already existing mythic master account and link it to an new EA account that you create at the same time.

What you actually did was to create a new EA account and link to it the mythic master accounts that were automatically created during the account migration at the beginning of august.
Since that was at the beginning of August, and since I am like Eve, not a computer expert, I can only try report what I did and I did start by trying to start a Mythic Master Account on the bottom RH of their Log-in Menu.

As a result I had to use that ID for EA on the TOP RH .. so perhaps you could simplify the advice to EVE because it might be to start a new EA ACCOUNT using account name_(underscore)uo(which I learned about later too) and use an authentic E-mail from her provider. Not sure what I did wrong exactly. I do know that I tried to Start a new EA account but it said to supply them with new E-mail so I made up one and gave it to them which later did not work. --because you need to get the New E-mail addresses from your E-mail Provider to make them authentic, ... but you don't want to hear all about my other many bunglings. :lol: It's a learning experience Eve!!

Meanwhile I think I can tell Eve to register again with EA (top RH Page of Link to Account Management) and give them your UO account name and an authentic E-mail address .. then you should get into where you can add accounts and link all your accounts to them because I didn't understand that EA New Account was actually the old EA - POGO account ... so a different name from Pogo showed up on my credit card account. The Credit card declined the payments because of the new name charging my Credit card and the Credit card needed to have EA contact them again after I told them to let the payments go through. That is when I refreshed all the payment information on all accounts to make sure they got paid.

... just thinking about it makes my head spin ... goes back to hunting pumpkins but.. wait.. real life is calling again... rolleyes:
