Maxing out Dex / Stamina

With the 50% swing speed increase heavy x-bows from the invaison floating around I wanted to outfit my Chiv archer with as much Stam as possible while trying to maintain enough mana for specials and include at least 2 FC / 5 FCR.

What armor would you guys use? I am also a bit confused on the 150 dex cap. Is it 150 with arties? If I have it at 150 with arties and drink a greater agility with 50% EP will it go up to 180? Or is the only way to raise stamina over 150 by using +stam items?

Dex is capped at 150 Stam has no hard cap.

Stamina is used to calculate SS Dex helps achieve stamina.

150 dex cap is with arties jewels anything that raises dex but will not take dex over 150 the only good drinking a dex pot does if you are at 150 is give you phantom points over 150 these are only good if you get hit with spell or something that lowers dex and if you have 50 ep it increases duration I believe (would have to check)
and yes + stamina items is way to go and if i remember stamina is capped at 210 and goes in 30s so 180,150,120 etc so at 179 stamina the effect is still the same as if you had 150

I should not have said stamina is capped but 210 is the highest effective level you can reach currently that I know of

Ok i did some research, If I use an evaison H-xbow 50% SSI Plus a 5% SSI ring, and have 180 stamina, I can get my swings down to 1.5 delay. To get to 1.25 delay it would take 210 stamina which basically means the rest of your suit is crap.

It is an expensive set up, but I found armor that will get me all 70's in resist, max HCI max DCI, 186 stamina and 2/6 casting for chiv. 100% DI

I was thinking of running

120 arch
120 tact
120 ana
120 heal
120 resist
90 Chiv
30 Tracking <-- dont have any +skill items and dont really need 120 chiv.

Will this build do well in pvp? Seems like he could kill quite a few chars in a few seconds.

I dont pvp anymore but I would love to have that suit for my pvm archer I have close to that but hci and dci are not maxed but I also have 10 regen built in also
but I think that would be a good setup

The fastest you can get a heavy xbow is 2 seconds. That is with 180+ stamina and 55 ssi. I'd suggest using a 50 ssi heavy, but don't use a 5 ssi ring just use Divine fury for extra SSI.

It's pretty easy to hit 180 stamina. That would also free up a ring spot.

Is the SSI chart under archery wrong on stratics? When I put is 55% SSI and 180 dex / Stam, it says the SSI is 1.5 seconds.

I use player made pieces in my suit just make sure each piece has as much stamina increase on it as possible max is 8 I believe then make sure to get dex to 150 usually with jewels or jewels and a bow like horse lord one good jewel to get has 7 dex/7 str and 30 DI I cant remember the name of it off top of my head ring of vile is also good as it has 8 dex and 6 stamina regen not to mention 15 hci

here is the formula
1. Convert the Weapon Base Speed to ticks by multiplying the speed in seconds of your weapon, which is displayed on the tooltip, by 4. Example, an unmodified Halberd has a Weapon Base Speed of 4.25 seconds per swing, which converts to a base speed of 17 ticks.
2. Determine the character’s “Stamina Ticks” by dividing the current Stamina by 30. Example, if your current Stamina is 50, then 50/30=1.666, which is rounded down. In this instance, the “Stamina Ticks” are 1.
3. Note the total Swing Speed Increase modifier from equipment. Example, 20.

Formula: ((Base Weapon Speed - Stamina Ticks) * (100.0 / (100 + Swing Speed Increase))) = "x" ticks

Example: ((17 - 1) * (100.0 / (100 + 20))) = 13 ticks.

When divided by 4, so as to convert ticks back into seconds, the modified Halberd speed is 3.25 seconds.

That's a good chart.
I would've like this chart (link below)better but it doesn't round down like it should and It gives some false results. If the creator of this could please fix, I'm sure people would find it very very useful:

http://www.uohub.com/calcdmg.cfm

Again, it's not quite accurate as far as Swing Speed gets calculated, but it's neat to see the average damage per second.
