Market Price of Pets?

A question to those of you who sell pets - any kind. What do you sell your pets for? Include any price changes for special coloration, training, or high pet calc ratings.

On Sonoma I have:

White Cu, 3.5 on pet calc - I think this one is valuable for rare color and good pet calc rating.

Charcoal Cu, 3.9 on pet calc - I like the pet calc rating but it is a less desirable color.

Regular colored Cu, 4.3 on pet calc - this is a nice one, too bad its regular color

Red Cu, 2.0 or 2.4 on pet calc - poor pet rating but cool color. Would be good for someone who wanted it for the looks.

Just curious what these might go for if I was to unload a couple.

Also curious about GD's!

Thanks

It depends on the shard mostly.

I'm on Drachenfels :

I have an ice blue Cu that is rating same than your red one and I don't even find someone to give it for free.

I gave some 3.3 to 3.8 colored (not rare) and a 4.1 not colored ones for free

I sold a black 3.1 for 2 millions some time ago

I'm still trying to sell my 3.6 white.

My problem is mostly the lack of buyers.

When I fist posted the add to sell my black and white ones on stratics some people thought I was on Europa and I had 3 offers on 2 days. I could probably have sold the black one for a much higher price.

Maybe you could check on the trading board of your shard here on stratics ?
Most of the time there is no price on the adds but not always and at least you would know if there are a lot of sales or not.

Depends how quickly I want to sell the pet. I usually aim to sell within a day or so, so I open up to offers and take the best one. I haven't had any offers which fell below what I'd have set my prices at, in fact most of the better pups I sold went for much more than expected.

Thing is, if you're turning spawns over and regularly getting pets to sell, you don't really have the luxury of charging a lot because a full stable means you can't get new pets in. And with powerful pets you can't really say "oh 4.5 = x price" because a savvy customer will look at the individual stats on your pet and may have very different ideas about what's good or not. Which is the other reason why I open myself to offers instead - I'm not into haggling lol.

On Atlantic, I sell red, black, and white for 3 mil untrained, 4 mil trained, regardless of stats.

Personally, I could care less about the color, so long as they're killers, but apparently a lot of folks care more about the colors than the stats. I've never had real success selling 4.0+ star cus of normal/common colors. White, black, and red, on the other hand, I can sell in an hour, even if they suck. It's what the people want.

I've never really dealt in greaters, so not sure on the price of those. I've bought several 4.2s and 4.3s for around 10 mil/ea from a guy named Dr.Tay, but I've also seen greaters with those stats sell on Atlantic for 20-50 mil. Depends on who you buy from, I suppose.

Lol I wish ! On Drachs I can't even give white or black for free if it's less than 3 at least on pet calc ! Even less sell one...

But I agree about one thing, most people will buy an average colored pup (rare color of course) but not a very good plain one.

The nice thing about being on Atlantic is that it's a seller's market. Stuff always sells on Atlantic. :thumbup1:

thanks for the info, i will try to sell my crappy red pup.

red is my favorite color and i would like to have a nice one to use, but alas, i have not found any with good pet calc ratings for sale.

when i have lored the ones offered to me they were always horrible. funny being a tamer i care more about the stats..

I care more about stats too, but have a tiny "I want to brag " and " I want to collect" side of me.

So I have my wonderful 4.5 plain Cu to help me eat succubi at breakfast and go explore dangerous places.
And at the same time I'm collecting one of each rare colored pets. I'm just missing the red and blaze :D

My colored ones aren't that good, just enough that I'll still be able to hunt with even if not the most dangerous mobs. They're all 3ish on the pet calc.

I found a decent white but as I need money I'll keep my just ok one and sell the other... If I ever find a buyer that is :sad4:

Of course that means a looot of stable slots, specially adding all my other pets : GD, WW, mare, bake, rune, fire steed, unicorn.
And still i would like to add another fire steed and a Hiryu ...
I want more stable slots !!!! :sad2:

On pacific as allways pricing can be crazy.. My wife and i have a total of 5 tamers so our stables needles to say are allways full and we make our gold selling trained and untrained rare colred cu's Greater Dragons and Nightmares.i was lucky to get a 4.1 white cu early in the game i have been taming for about 6 years now and we try to keep only 3.5 and higher to sell and keep for ourselves.. i have sold some pets as high as 7 mill depending on thier stats.and i also find some people would rather have high hit points more then good stats.we are lucky to have meet some really cool Tamers on pac and we all trade ideas, taming techniques/training techniques for our pets which has made it easier to train pets.. as far as those red cu's go.. on pac i have not seen a 3,5 as of yet and we was turning about 100- 200 cu's a day when we was into it.. we move around from cu's to GD then off to ninghtmares..as things get boring or more likely crowded..

I would be interested to know your pricing structure, pacific. could you give me an outline?

what pet ratings would earn what price?
can you sell the regular colored cu at all, or only the colored?

also i am using 'stats' as a blanket term to cover hp, resists, stats, and skills.

thanks

the plain Cu's dont seem to sell to well... but those are the ones youll pet calc out as to get the best of the best..Wife and i have over 3 cus we kept that are 4.4's no one here wants em but we use them as our tank animals i use mine for gathering honor against the succubus.. as far as pricing a lot of that depends on the color and pet calc rating for us.. other animal sellers use hit point and strength as thier ways of pricing pets. My wife is the real seller. i am mostly the stable :) but help out as needed taming since i work 6 days a week 13 hours a day..Wife is telling me 4.1 plain trained sell for 5 mill..4.1 trained (non rare) colored 6 mill..Rare colored she says selling at a easy 15 mill here.. hope that helps.. these prices are what we sell at. other peeps sell at a much higher price... and sometimes if ya find us in a good mood which is most of the time and our stables are full well give a nice one for the heck of it...if you play on Pac look for windfaith or Visra Darksky thats my wifes toons she can help ya better then i can on the pricing and what you need

thanks for the info.

it does seem high but i wouldn't quibble with the prices because i know how long you can spend at that spawn and not finding anything good. ive been taming cu's for about 6 mo off and on and my best is still only a 4.3 plain colored. it is nice to know he's possibly worth 5 mil. but more than likely only to an intelligent consumer. someone who doesn't know anything may place more value on the color than the stats resists etc. so as a tamer it would be our job to educate. an educated consumer is a selective consumer. and selective consumers know when something good holds value.

are there any other tamers willing to share their pricing structure for pets? cu's and gd's are the one's i'm most interested in...
