March Pet Fight Tournaments!

Mothers used to say that March comes in like a Dragon and goes out like a sheep. In keeping with that expression the Patrons of the Royal Zoo will be sponsoring two pet fight tournaments during March. On the first and last Saturdays of the month at 9pm eastern time competitors can compete in various contests for Golden Skulls that allow people access to the Doom Gauntlet. For those who don't care to go to the Gauntlet, the Skulls can be easily sold for gold. All citizens are welcome to attend the contests as we have comfortable seating and a full service bar.

On both nights gates will be provided from the southern entrance of the Royal Zoo in Moonglow (not the entrance where donations are made) beginning at 8:30 pm. At 9:00 PM the contests will begin with slightly different events each night. Please observe the rules as they are intended to keep people safe and allow everyone to have an enjoyable evening.

1. We ask that people have the correct entrance fees ready in check form. It is very frustrating to have to wait for people to run to the bank at the last moment. You may enter multiple contests, but please have the fees ready.

2. We ask that no animals other than those about to compete in the current event be brought to the arena. Pet balls may be used to summon your pet at the correct time and are highly encouraged. Gates will be provided between events so owners can drop of and pick up pets.

3. Absolutely no magic may be used other than to heal wounded pets after a contest.

4. No healing is permitted during events.

5. Keep in mind that this will take place in Fel and despite all precautions, unfortunate things may occur. Please plan accordingly and don't bring prized possessions unless they are insured.

6. Once gated to the Arena, no re-admission other than the gates provided will be permitted. If you recall out or are ejected for bad behavior don't plan on coming back.

On Saturday March 1st we will feature 3 contests with the following rules and entry fees:

1. Chicken fights:Entry Fee a single 5,000 gold check. This will be the standard single elimination contest with the winner taking home a single gold skull.

2. Dragon Fights:Entry Fee a single 50,000 gold check. This will be a standard single elimination contest open to ALL types of dragons including drakes and white wyrms. The winner will take home 2 gold skulls.

3. King of the Cage:Entry fee 500,000. For this bloody finale all entrants will enter the ring at once and the last pet standing wins. The owner will receive 3 gold skulls.

On Saturday March 29th we will have the following contests:

1. Chicken fights:Entry Fee a single 5,000 gold check. This will be the standard single elimination contest with the winner taking home a single gold skull.

2. Sheep Fights:Entry Fee a single 50,000 gold check. This will be open to all sheep regardless of color. It will be a single elimination contests with the winner taking home two gold skulls.

3. King of the Cage:Entry fee 500,000. For this bloody finale all entrants will enter the ring at once and the last pet standing wins. The owner will receive 3 gold skulls.

All gold raised will be donated to The Royal Zoo in Moonglow. For more information about the Royal Zoo, taming and how you can help the zoo please come to our weekly gatherings Sunday mornings at 10 am eastern time at the southern entrance to the zoo.

If you have any questions feel free to post them here.

Reagan if you win for the third time in a row, I'll pay your entry fees for the chicken fights from now on! I'm thinking about waiving entry fees for life if someone donates a mounted dread horn for behind the bar. I'll wait until the remodeling for that though.....

I had no idea was was being cliche. I guess I'll just go out and get my own. I've yet to dance with many peerless. Perhaps this will be my incentive to explore this part of the game....

Hey I like doing peerless, though I never have the luck to get the good loot, and its been a very long time from the last time I did Dreadhorn. So you can count me in.

I'm glad I can keep our moderator entertained by laughing at me, guess they don't have to be impartial....

Vallend, if I ever get more time to roam the lands again I will contact you about a quest to obtain the head of that evil horse!

I'll do my best to help you out as well Jerimiah. Dreadhorn eh?

Lets see, I've done it twice...but was following someone else's lead. I know where to go, just not what to do. Don't we have to kill a wolf, and a spider? Silk or something? Is there a walkthrough somewhere for this?

Ralf, glad to hear that fighting spirit. It will take more than spirit however to take on the fierce vorpal chickens Reagan has raised.

Bob, you know I"ll do my research prior to any trip to slay that beast! I am thinking Sunday after our weekly zoo meeting may be a good time to carve up that vile steed!

See.. i told ya... LOL. Actually I cant believe my chicken actually dethroned Reagan. That was so much fun, thanks for the event.
In all the excitement I was only able to get 1 screen shot of the fights, those dragon fights were awesome!
Congrats Reagan on the dragon fights and King Of The Ring.

Unfortunately there is more to getting that pristine head of Dreadhorn than just toppling Dreadhorn, it will take lots of luck. After about 30 times of doing Dreadhorn my guild has only come out with 1, thats right 1 pristine head.
Best of luck and if you need some help give me a shout and I'm sure I can round up a couple of assistants for you.

I'd just like to suggest for April's fights that you add a purple bunny tournament

I just wanted to remind those who may be interested that the second installment of the March Pet Fights will be Saturday March 29th. I apologize if this isn't sufficient time for tamers to bond and train a sheep. I hope to have some books distributed soon to advertise as well. This nasty affliction called RL has kept me away from the lands for far too long....
