map files

i understand that when you digital download now that the map files have different names. When i try to generate or even run UOC it says they are missing when they are they are just named different.

anyone know of a location where these are hosted? Or I am going to have to dig out a old UO CD and try and find the files on there?

could someone copy and paste them? the links dont work there anymore. at least the xeon one does not.
It is 6 files i think.. copy and paste them from your UO directory to here, i would be greately abliged.

Congratulations on 15 years of doing what you do... I, for one, am grateful for all the responses you have given me here... I can say with all candor, that each one has been a thoughtful response... Occasionally we see things from more than one direction, but you certainly have my respect and appreciation for 15 years of hangin' with us all here...

contact EDA or look for posts by him. He did have a tutorial and the files hosted in google documents to fix map when people wanted.

what is EDA's stratics name? I never recall seeing EDA on here before, could be wrong..

If these appear small to you (they do for me), try to right click each image and hit "save target as".
Then you should be able to open it up on your system and zoom in.

Ok, Itworks with UOAM, but not with UoC which is what we use. I host my own server and will pay to get this fixed. I am a software engineer myself, itboggles my mind why EA would rename the map fileswhenthey have been the same for say 12 years? With searching on the internet, i cant find but 2 of them, and it crashes again when rebuilding maps because the rest are not there.
