Many active champ spawn guilds about?

Hiya, WoW was wearing thin so I thought I'd dig UO out for a bit of nostalgia, much to my suprise it hasn't aged at all, still fantastic fun. What I'm looking for is a fairly large sized champ spawning guild, are there any still about?

My chars:

Afari - Red Mage, fence/parry, might change this now.
Tarias - Used to be a fairly straight samurai template, added necro since I've been back.
Toasty - Red Samurai, standard template, resist instead of parry though.

Also a random tamer character (used to be a straight mage) and a new blue mage are also being trained up (brand new, I deleted a red ninja, too many pks!). I've played from T2A -> SE, my Samurai and Mage played in a variety of old fel guilds, IMP/ELR etc and used to running tons of champ spawns/harrys, I used to have a big row of skulls along the doorstep on my old, collapsed house *sob*. I'm completely out of touch with PVP though so they're in hiding for a while


WoW was good, I'm caving in to the pressure I think, I'm leading a guild of 130 or so accounts which started raiding a while back. We have raid schedules, bank rules, alt policies, occationally officer meetings, a vent server. All work, no play for the next set of purple coloured items.

The IMPs are mainly in warcraft land now, Nibbley is in my guild, Jaggy transfered off to a different server recently and Draklon is following. No idea what happened to the rest of 'em actually
We all went there together, the IMP guild still exists though and is doing pretty well. Obviously they're all good, law abiding citizens nowadays but the very concept of being naughty is foriegn to wow (one of my major gripes!).

I tried UCH a couple of days back but the forum didn't seem to send out an activation mail annoyingly, the account still exists under the name "Toasty" if any UCH admins are passing

I made it past the security question which didn't accept an upper case B!
I'll keep trying then, leveling up my blue mage at the moment so I'm in no hurry.

My new mage has just hit gm resist and med, working on magery/eval now! I've lost the vast majority of things, one char as an LRC suit though so I'm fairly sorted to get going again
Sadly I have no friends now and 3 red chars!


It's still good fun by the way! I expected to be really disappointed, tried the trial and instantly got my old chars back.

I'm shocked you still have that screeny Drak!!! TY!

I bought a copy of the 9th Anniversary box set today to see the new content, quite suprised on logging on that the new content requires quite a bit of hunting down. I went for a jog through Sanctuary, slightly disappointing lair of rats.

The new dungeons with peerless bosses in looks good though, what generally happens with these? Do guilds run them by themselves, if I hang around for long enough will I bump into a group with a space or is it a big messy mash of people like doom?

There is a peerless group with people from the boards which gather in Umbra evenings at 8PM GMT.
I haven't done more than a few peerless hunts with them for the last year, but before that I was active pretty much every night. It's a good bunch of people, but I've heard that they are not doing many hunts nowadays (lack of participants).

Maybe Marodeur or Cheerful can give you some more info?
