Making things on same tile show no matter what. This is a Question...

Years ago I remember one of the deco websites had a how-to make your own fruit basket, but it went one better then that... the guy had figured out how to force the item you wanted to remain showing even though it occupied the same spot as another item. There was no one item on top today, next item on top next day. I.e. the basket didn't block any of the fruit and you could make it look full all the time. It had something to do with using a box, locking some items one day then waiting till the next server up and also using the tool in a certain combination... It was pretty convoluted but allowed you to make items that would normally flip back and forth remain in the order you wanted them.

I have checked everyone of my bookmarked deco pages, searched my saved how-to's, and done a search on Stratics and I can't find this information anywhere. Does anyone know how to do this and so could you please post a how-to!

It would normally switch on its own at every server up without you having to do anything except for just breaking the box over the basket and raising everything to the small level.

Then the server up switches it all from what I can remember without doing anything.

line the items up in a crate.... say you want a fruitbowl to have an apple, banana and pear, in that order, then in the crate you would put

apple
banana
pear
bowl
pear
banana
apple

set the crate where you want the fruitbowl, axe the crate..... lock down everything you see, including the bowl...... now it easiest at this point to simply mount a horse and everything will reset, so what you'll see now are the things that are not locked down, which you now lock (or you can recall away or run around the countryside or whatever, but you need to make them switch places)

BUT!! it's a lot more fun to watch Pluffy do it! besides, I don't know where I got the little bit about putting the bowl in the box from......

That would work for the basket if it isn't raised up any, but he had a way to do it even if say the basket was on a table or shelf. I'll give it a try though and see what I can figure out. My basket is raised like 2 tiles to make it fit where I wanted it, so not sure how it will work.

Yea this isn't working so far... What I am trying to do is get some fruit that I have to lower into the basket to show all the time. When I use the crate, the fruit sits to high even if I just do the two that are messing up with nothing else... going to play around with it more and see what I can get to work. Thanks again all.

A lot of the fruit sits right on top of each other if you try to stack it on say, the floor or a table. I think you'll have to use specific fruits in that specific order to make it work at all... otherwise you end up with gaps where the fruit either sits too high on the corner of the square, or if you lower it, the basket jumps on top and hides it. I've tried many times to make a fruit basket this way and it's never worked without the limes/dates. Apples, bananas and peaches just don't cut it.

Anyone have any limes to sell on Chessy?
