Making Studded Leather "Meddable"

Is there a process to do this? Trying to make a female leather LRC suit for a friend, but 2 of the pieces are studded....tried my imbuer, no such choice in the menu...any help is greatly appreciated:]

either make the pieces out of leather/cloth or imbue it with mage armor

Seems my brain wants to remember something about taking the suit pieces to an npc and they will add it as long as you have the imbue weight and count available? Don't hold me to this though, lol.

to add Mage Armor to a non-mebable armor piece, you need to take the item to a Mage Guildmaster npc, in a mage shop, single click the Mage Guild master, using the context menu, Convert Mage Armor, and it will cost 250k gold. The item must not be an artifact, and it also must have 4 magical properties or less to add mage armor to the item.
