Making bigger stone tables

Used to be you could lock down each tile on a stone table and axe the end to make larger tables (at least I think that was the trick). That doesn't seem to work anymore, is there a new trick?

are you placing the tables on a raised square goza mats & lowering the gozas of the leg sides before you axe the legs? least wise thats how i remembered doing it.

Thanks - figured there was a link somewhere but couldn't find it. Shows how long it's been since I've done table modifications. Gozas ...is there anything they can't do?
