Magincia Seriously Gone?

I just came back after two years off and noticed Magincia is a pile of dust now. Is this permanent? If so, getting rid of Magincia was pretty dumb. It was one of the better cities, and housing up on the Magincia beach was actually semi desirable. Not now :/

Yup gone, to be replaced.....unknown. I sure do hope so though.

That was from the Magencia invasion last fall. Certain daemons could be angered into destroying the buildings and the rubble could be taken by players, if you walk in
Luna on most shards you'll find some of it around.

One of the town hall meetings had Draconi mentioning something about a 'new magincia' but no time schedule of course.

In the main Ultima timeline, Magincia was destroyed and rebuilt. For now, just think of this as... um... an "urban redevelopment project". Yeah, that's it.

In Pub 54 on Origin now, it removes Magincia from the possible escort locations.

there was a list on the old boards, listed what shard and if they happened to "Save Magencia" Great Lakes Felucca Felucca did not save it, along with 1 or 2 more did not mamage to save it

But that has nothing to do with the events or magincia being rebuilt. That track was added to UO a long time ago and comes from Ultima 9s sound track along with many of the other tracks in UO today.

yes it was a event that was really great idea they have been working on revamping uo but they are also trying to hold event so its been rough but one day a new expansion may come out

Lake Austin Felucca failed to save it as well. Whoops!

Of course, it's all relative... personally, I believe I saved quite a bit of Magincia. It's in crates in my house.

Ask all the players that blew it up for the greed of rubble...

It should never be rebuilt...should stand there for the guilt of those that actively blew every damn wall and item up on purpose.

The only players who should feel REALLY guilty about Magincia are the ones who screamed at people for actually trying to save the city by killing light demons. Honestly, it was a very unfriendly scene there at times. I got quite a bit of flak as well, since I kept dragging demons out to the woods to "pop" plant rubble. There was a small but distressingly unpleasant group of people who seemed to regard every light demon as theirs, to do with as they pleased, and anyone who got in their way was either harangued or messed with.

It's like Magincia didn't fall to pride so much as it did to brattiness.

Yeah I guess if it was an event then that was pretty cool.. but Magincia was one of the cooler cities along with Nujel'm and Trinsic. When I started I used to take out my dragon ship and sail across the ocean to go fishing, using Magincia as my home port all the time.

Oh well, hopefully it comes back somehow. If it stays rubble forever then that's pretty lame.
