So, also something I was thinking about... EMs breath a lot of life into our world, but that life is often temporary. With the rebirth of Magincia coming soon, I'm continually reminded of the museum my good friend Lady Silverbrook fought so hard to keep in place when the rest of the world around it collapsed. It stood as a testament to the long history of events on Great Lakes, and she took it upon herself to ensure it survived.
All of this has me thinking... after EM events are over, often times, the items and books from them are either permanently removed, or stuffed away in an out-of-the-way EM house.
What I propose is erecting a brand new grand library -- outside of Britain maybe? (Clear some trees and start the building...) Or a museum/library... And I propose it be built somewhere where expansion could be allowed in the future.
Essentially, it would begin as a bunch of empty rooms... small chambers, long hallways... and as EMs completed events, items could be placed within this museum, along with books, so that not only could history, but historical context be preserved without having to leave stuff laying around all over the world to confuse people on future events. This isn't to say that some things shouldn't be left out in the game world in important places marking important events (the Skull of Mondain is an example that comes to mind on Great Lakes).
But honestly, it would be extremely cool to have a way to preserve each shard's unique history in a place that would be common among all shards; and it would also ensure that important things would not be lost to the deletion of old EM event items.
