While the corrupted souls are remaining until the city rebuilding event, most of the debris (95%) has recently been removed. The building debris remains, but all the thousands of rubble/trash tiles have been deleted.

Thank you for answering my FOF question in February but I'm still at a loss. How do you remove the rubble/debris? I went to other shards other than Pacific and there's nothing there. I mean its like green grass no sprites, no rubble, no trash, no debris.

I surmise and this is just a guess.... but when I was turning in my threads there for stuff... I noticed something.... plants seemed to be returning to the land as the threads were turned in.... now whether or not this is coincidence or not I don't know.... but seems to me the more folk turn in the threads the less debris there is and the more the land is restored... I went to the trouble of doing that quest turn in on all of my characters on GL... was such a pain but I did it. This is not a fact that it happens but it seems to me that it does work this way..... now one suggestion is that you might try gating folk to the turn in spot and giving them the threads....

I was thinking about that.. but don't want to spend the time I have to play UO for a maybe.... I know the trammel side of pacific has less debris but still quite a bit. Other shards just seemed soo empty in mag when I went there on both facets. Could be a pacific thing..

There was a sweep that reduced the amount of rubble by a large amount in part because KR crashed and burned with the density of locked-down objects that was originally there.

Where do I find a broom to initiate the sweep?

I went to face space and have gotten a great "load" of spam mail.

Not sure where you heard that but it's certainly NOT true. KR did just fine there, which is all I use and had no issues with it. KR does seem the thrash the hard drive and if you don't take the time to defrag and optimize it, then it does crash. But all the rubble had nothing to do with it.

Optimizing KR:

I heard it from me when I was reloading after the umpteenth instance of KR crashing and burning spectacularly 10 steps in, so I feel I need to dispute your dispute.

Was a bit slower than average, but it didn't crash for me either.. I took a few screenshots using it, even.

Did you take the time to load the BBE interface, and defrag your hard drive? It makes a huge difference. And that doesn't explain your statement about how you heard there was a sweep to reduce the rubble in Magincia because it caused KR to crash.

I was testing was to optimize the KR client, and since there wasn't a benchmark built in, I set the object handles to max and went to a spot with lots of lock downs (both my house and Magincia) and used ctrl-shift to bring up the object handles. At first, the screen would lock up and take 10 seconds or longer to bring up all the object handles. By the time I was done, it became almost instantaneous. So KR can handle all the objects, but yes, the way it was published needed a bit of help.

I never heard any official word, but the sweep happened right after I and a couple of others made whiny statements about not being able to participate.

As for KR optimizations ... well, I spent a fair bit of time on that, but I'm willing to believe I just missed the magic incantation of options and settings that would have made everything work for me.
