i got randomly disconnected from the internet yesterday and when I logged back in to UO there was a herald standing next to my toon. That particular toon also already had another herald at my house. I thought that the new herald might disappear at server down but its still there today. Anybody else had this happen?

Yea I've had that happen except with me I had logged out in The Prism of Light in Felucca while waiting on a ferret worthy of keeping spawned. When I logged in a herald appeared beside me, and when I went back to my house yep there was the herald I'd left there....
Of course this was over a year ago....

yes had the same thing happen to me at a champ a few months ago. The spooky thing was it seemed to be suddenly there, no disconnect nor death before its appearance (death followed his appearance though bc I was so puzzled that I didn't care for the mob anymore). This was also on a char that already had a herald connected to him (the true soul was still sitting in the house as ordered years ago 
). I redeeded the doppelganger and the deed still sits in my bank box. Strange....

lol... yeah.. I finally hit the jackpot and won uo ! Now when my indestructable herald is ... well .. errm.. destructed.. I have another one deeded. Sure thing, noone can beat that

hehe... yes me and my mighty army of indestructable heralds of vanquishing invading luna bank or blackthorns castle all spamming 'all hail the mighty Chiera'. Casca would be exiled in no time
But on the more serious side, I didn't bin the deed because I didn't want to loose the original herald (the true house sitter) too. Somehow I can't imagine those two are not connected. But I will probably try to redeed the original and see what happens.
