Magical Fish Finder

Has anyone tested this out yet? I have not yet acquired enough points on test center to claim one. It only lasts for 4 hours and that just doesn't seem like enough time. The other items have a 24 hour timer, so I don't understand why it's so much less. Thanks in advance.

If it indeed only helps you find fish like wondrous fish and the other small fish, I don't need it.

First i bought the finder.​

The Timer is for 4 Hours Real Life time.​

Then i got myself on the ship and i used the finder.​

First i got a message that ther was nothing to find.​

But after just a little bit the finder saw something.​

​

I keep following the directions it pulls me too.​

Seems like the right spot to start fishing!​

Then i pulled up a Yellowtail Barracuda.​

And another.. and another... and another....​

I kept checking my finder while fishing untill it said the shool was north of me.​

The range of the finder is pretty big but you can have spots where the finder see nothing. Then just keep moving the ship.​

But I had to test to see if it would find other fish,so i moved my ship to tokuno.​

and sure did find a school of Giant Koi!​

​

4 hours is plenty to find those rare fish. I sure could use this finder to get me some Blue Marlins. ​

I ran a bit trough Underworld and the Abyss. But i did not find shools there. I'm not suprised by that.​

But So far Tokuno,Ilshenar,Trammel and Felucca work fine with the finder.​

The one in Ilshenar is a bit strange,I can't place a boat there but it showed me a school in the middle of the Lake of Fire.​

Always seem to pull up 4 of the big fish before the school moves.​

Only found school of fish that can be made into pies.​

Not used any baits for anything.​

Might be that with bait you can get more then 4 big magical fish at one spot...​

So everywhere where you can find magical fish that can be made into pies.​

Tested Fire Fish with Fish Finder in Dungeon Shame with Bait.​

Still can get just 4 fish with the bait before the school moves.​

this is a cool thing but now I have to ask... why we still have the baits? seriously those things are totally useless...

Cause what i have tested, they only find fish that can make into pies. and not the ones for the trophies. So we still need bait for those. And it don't work for crabs and lobsters as far i can tell.

Need to make it so we can place the row boat in dungeons and other waters. I like to crab while fishing. Gravewater, Ilsh, Doom and other waters. Not like you can boat recall with a rowboat.

Yes. But we should not forget that the schools also moves. So it Might be that the schools move closer to the shores in Ilshenar or Malas. Afterall the fish schools in Ter Mur and the dungeons where caught at the edge of the water from the shores.

The rowboats have something like that already. If you leave it to long in the water and you not on it, they are redeeded in your backpack. The deed is actualy never gone out of your backpack when you place a rowboat.

4 hours when you buy the finder. And yes you can give the tool to someone else.

And a rowboat in a dungeon would be a bad idea. Archer or mage would be able to kill stuff without being hit.

Or how about placing a permanent large Ship in Doom and all other Spots where Ships are not allowed and let Players with a special Item Teleport there. Could be with a Ticket, like the ones that you need for The Prism of Light Dungeon. You pay 10000 Gold for 4 Hours and can use then all permanently Placed Ships.
