MAGE MELEE TEMP HELP!

hey all i am just wondering wat would the best mage fighter temp be?
ive seen alot of pplz fight with mage fencers but i dont get the benefits of that so im wondering if anyone has templates that they can post here so it can help me make a mage melee fighter cheers for ur help

*sigh* But why mage/melee? You lose so many benefits of the purer templates. Melee/bush/parry or necro/mage much better, imo. Add mage to a melee template, you lose dci; and melee to a mage template, you lose necro/ss.

If you absolutely MUST go mage/melee, why not try necro/mage, -20 mage weapon and a crystalline ring? All the benefits of mage, plus a melee weapon.

Tank mages melee templates are still effective but not as useful as tamer/mages or necro/mages.
