Hi all,

Just returned and I moved to Sonoma to start fresh. I am trying to have a decent effective PVM macer. Not real interested in the Sampire and ABC:)

I know the must have in my mind is: (But willing to listen to advice)

Mace
Anatomy
Tactics
Heal
Chiv
Parry

Now the 1 dollar question...Resist vs Bushido...keep in mind I dont have a ton of cash and I want this chr to help me get established. Does resist help anymore? Or is Bushido far more effective that it just trumps the benefits of resist? Thanks in advance!!!

The benefits from bushido usually outweight the benefits from resist in pvm.

Dealing more damage is always better, and you get hitpoints and mana back if you kill an opponent that you did honor. Helps alot if you run bandage healing.

You should also consider fencing instead of macing. Reason is leafblade, its one-handed and has feint special. Gives you the ability to reduce incoming damage and to use pots. Needed against strong mobs if you heal with bandages.
A simple kryss is also a nice weapon for a char without much gold, as they dont need ssi and are dirt cheap to imbue with good mods.

Thankyou for the tip on switching to fencing...which leads me to ask, since bushido is without shields...leafblade/kriss are 1h weapons...do they put out enough damage? Also what is ssi?

Thanks again for your time:)

My sampire has 120 swords and mace fighting soulstoned. After trying all three, I decided to stick with fencing and use leafblades. With 180 stamina, I can swing a leafblade at max swing speed without ssi, which leaves room for another mod. Also, the leafblade specials Feint and AI are excellent.

Mace fighting is a good option, too. Just have to find out which works best for you. :)

Thanks...that seems the best option. I will take mace up to see how it works for me. Worst case I decide it is not right and switch to swords or fencing:)

This. With 180 stam and 100 DI from my suit (weapon not included) it really frees up slots on weapons.

Mace FTW!
Cmon ya'll, show some hammer love!
War axe has AI, and modded correctly, you can chain AI which does hellah damage!
Also, folks, macing does stamina obliteration, meaning mobs cant chase, move, or swing nearly as fast as they will if your fencing them!
Tetsubo, and bushido = frenzied whirlwind = mass deaths!!!

So, my opinion is......Mace and Bushy!!

Later.
