Luna Invasions

I realize that opinions vary widely vis-a-vis the new invasion event. Personally, I find all in-game events enjoyable, though I can sympathize with critics who theorize that this event might cause an evacuation of Luna. Regardless, I hope I can participate.

That said, is anyone else experiencing latency issues? I see a lot of players - myself, included - standing still, passively allowing spawn to devour them. In my case, this has to do with the fact that I'm unable to move due to latency.

Has this happened on other shards, as well?

I do not mean for this to be a rant. By no means. I realize that Atlantic is a heavily populated shard - lag is to be expected. By posting, my hope is that, if enough people chime in re: this issue, perhaps our ingenious friends at Mythic (no sarcasm!) can sort out a fix. The Shadowlord manifestations did not cause this level of latency for me, so I am hopeful that adjustments are possible.

I am having lag as well, I get it at my house and in Ice and Luna of course. My ping is normal as well.

I didn't have lag unless you call moving 1 tile every 10 seconds lag......lol
ya it was horrid...
I just wish that if we had lag so did the mobs haha

Last I heard a month ago, our UO devs routinely request that something be done about server lag, but EA just doesn't do anything about it.

Thats more than likely... there are free shards around which I won't name that have peaks with much more players and the ping is stable at around 100ms...

Just imagine the amount of cash EA is racking in from not updating to a better server... it's simply insane, no wonder they have not even interest in stopping people from selling UO gold (it mattered more back then when there was still an economy, but still) Just like on earth, inflation is an invention to steal the people and ridicule their efforts.
