Look at it this way: If the boots were all that lucky, wouldn't the Leprechaun still have them and not you?

They give a Luck Buff when you put them on like the statue. I got 650 Luck when I put mine on! Hope they don't have charges!
EDIT: My mistake. I don't know where my character got the 650 luck but it was not from the boots, just tried it on another character and nothing.

When you clicked the stone you got a luck buff..... now I'm sure it's worn off.
There are a few things they can give out that do things like the pies....
But other than that they aren't able to have anything that gives bonus or stats.... I believe....
They DID however give that cloak out that had 10 stealth on it... But such instances are very rare and few and far between which is as it should be... because honestly the EM events are not supposed to be about getting UBER items... they are supposed to be about having fun and promoting communities. (At least that's my understanding of it all).
That cloak was shardwide though, So I assume EA allowed that specific item to be given out.
That is not entirely true. A named repond book dropped just a bit over a week ago, and I have seen items with special eye candy props...like flamestrike and fireworks.
I believe that was the EMs acting on behalf of the devs in there worldwide event to prepare us all for the then upcoming fight against the shadow lords. So as such it was not an EM hand out but a dev hand out.
