There is the lucky armor working again?
I've found to play with one over 2000 (2007) but it seems to me like no lucky at all
And than, if is it working for a tamer? If i have a good lucky armor the pet is affected by the luck?
And then, what is the most lucky you can have with a suite and talisman?

Hi Ivory,
Luck does work, that much we know. What eludes us all is the degree to which it works and even more importantly, is exactly which situations/drops are affected. Take Fishing for example. To my knowledge, the part luck plays here is one of those unanswered questions. As for whether your pet is affected - the damage your pet does is attributed to YOU, so in that sense it's as tho' you delt the damage yourself - which means YOUR luck will affect the drop.
I would recommend two avenues for more info:
First, read the great UOGuide Wiki entry on Luck here !
Second, do a search here on Stratics for the single word luck and tell the search to only search Titles. **Stratics "new" XenForo Forum software does an excellent job of taking the work out of finding information.**

The "Search" as shown above gave 100 "hits" on conversations dedicated to questions regarding Luck. By the time you finish reading a bunch of those, you will find references to specific situations where people have "tested" the "value" of Luck and exactly how much it affects those situations. You'll also find plenty of discussions where its affect is still "uncertain". Read a bunch of them and you'll know more....

For those situations where it has been demonstrated that Luck does indeed play a significant role in the "value" of a drop, then of course you'll want to wear as much as you can "afford". As for everything else, well, it certainly doesn't "hurt" to wear some if you can fit it into your "suit" without removing other "properties" that keep death at bay (if you get my drift)....

Many debate if it works or not but the devs says IT DOES WORK. i know i myself have waaay more drops in despise in my luck suit than if i dont.In fact i hardly get any drops without luck suit there and with it i get em nearly every time.

I can certainly see how reading luck threads could easily be confusing when done thru a translator. Here's a suggestion for you. Tell us exactly what you are hunting and someone here will tell you if luck is involved.

I'm a tamer and luck needs to me at the solenHive to take the crystl balls of pet summoning. I've used a 1800 lukcy suite but no balls.
Often i go to destard, or catch treasure. And if i drop carto and locpicking i go fishing.

i am not sure if luck effects pet summoning ball drops or not.

What I suspect, is that overall, the vast majority of what effects any drop is the rng. then a small amount is effected by luck. Therefore, to get the mega loot we all seek, requires not only a good "luck roll of the dice" as it were, but also a good "rng roll of the dice". Not only is a "good roll" needed, you actually need to good rolls in a row to get the good stuff.

IMO I don`t think luck does much of anything unless your in one of the revamped dungeons or killing a boss. Even than I think you can have to much of it and end up shootin yourself in the foot. I do my best at around 1200-1400 luck. I`ve had more and I`ve had less.... that seems to be a good midrange for me.

i have heard luck is broken, and that anything over 1400 is worse than having 0, and I have heard that luck is working as it should and the more you have the better. So who knows, but as to using luck to get pet summoning balls, I never use luck to gather them and get a few an hour.

luck isnt broken.
go out and fill a bag with loot.
then put on a luck suit and go fill a bag with loot.
and not some 1200 luck suit, go big, get over 2000 then add the statue hit to it.
try to get upwards of 3000 luck.

unravel both bags and compare the amount of relics/essence/residue.

for normal hunting luck increases the intensity of the item, or better said it has the POTENTIAL to raise the intensity.
so if the ring was going to normally spawn as like FC 1, FCR 1, LRC 5, PHY 6 then luck adds a roll onto the dice and may round that upwards so youd get higher attributes on it (so FC 1, FCR 3, LRC 18, PHY 15)
thats old dungeon loot, not even talking the new dungeons with the magic/artifact attributes, which it also effects.

but pet balls..... ya i dont know about that one.
i know it effects DOOM arty drop but i would find it hard to think that they would have the same system working for something as minor at pet balls.

But please, how can i have 3000 of luck? With rings and ths staue of fotune(I'm 14 years old ,so much luck) i have only about 2000. 3000 is panic

Just counting items that currently spawn in-game or are relatively easy to craft, the current maximum Luck that a single character can achieve is as follows:

• Head Slot: Reforged cap enhanced with spined leather or golden ingots - Luck 190
• Neck Slot: Leurocian's Mempo of Fortune - Luck 300 (490)
• Chest Slot: Armor of Fortune - 200 (690)
• Legs Slot: Reforged leggings enhanced with spined leather or golden ingots - Luck 190 (880)
• Arms Slot: Reforged sleeves enhanced with spined leather or golden ingots - Luck 190 (1070)
• Hands Slot: Reforged gloves enhanced with spined leather or golden ingots - Luck 190 (1260)
• Right Hand Slot: Reforged weapon enhanced with golden ingots - Luck 190 (1450)
• Left Hand Slot: Reforged shield enhanced with golden ingots - Luck 190 (1640)
• Ring Slot: Etoile Bleue - Luck 150 (1790)

If you then add in the Luck bonus from the 10th Anniversary Sculpture, which is a base 200 Luck plus 50 Luck for each year of account age, thus resulting in a maximum attainable amount of 950 Luck (on a 15-year-old account), the total becomes:

• Total: 2260 + 950 = 3210 Luck

If you then add in the maximum Luck bonus obtainable from the Sphynx, the total becomes:

• Total: 3210 + 80 = 3290 Luck

Finally, if you possess the Bushido skill, Honor your intended target, and then achieve Perfection, you will be granted a 1000 Luck bonus. Adding this to what we already have, the total becomes:

• Total: 3290 + 1000 = 4290 Luck

If you replace the Conjurer's Garb with the now lost Exceptional Robe Crafted by Relvinian the total becomes:

• Total: 4290 - 140 + 250 = 4400 Luck

cap on luck is 4829 if you are 15 year old account and hit the abyss fountain for 400 luck and sphynx for 80 luck , and if your one of the 4 lucky who own that apron A Silky Obi Formed From The Nexus Spirits Essence (99 luck). The robe with 250 luck was banned if I am right so the best current robe luck is the conjurer garb

The calculator on uoguide.com says:

3982 Luck = 100% chance to increase the number of items, number of their properties and the intensity of those properties
2260 Luck = 73% (Thats alone the armor parts named by poo)
1920 Luck = 66% (All armor parts crafted with 190 Luck only and clean up jewels, without rares)

So no need to be infamosly rich to make a fortune

I mean, we don't mean to say that you have to have 3k luck to get any benefit....
