Luck?

I was just told that luck only effects intensity of loot and not artifact drop.

Wasn't there a five for friday and they said it does in fact effect chances of getting an artifact? It's been two years and these forums are hard to navigate and I haven't really found much of anything.

Luck used to be a factor in Doom Gauntlet artifact drops. However they have moved away from that system and went to a point system, kind of like the treasure of Tokuno. The more you kill there the more points you get, the better your chance to arti.

I looked for the Friday 5 that had the info but UoHerald seems to have lost those for the time being. Clicked on archives and got merging with stratics message.

So pretty much luck is if you want to get that perfect un-imbued peice that nobody pretty much needs now because of imbuing. So luck really isn't worth it now is it? lol.

Luck has its uses still just no the end all be all it used to be.

One of the uses off the top of my head,
Increasing loot for unravelling to support all that imbuing.

Also I think (don't hold me to it) it still effects the ilshenar paragon marties.
Plus I saw in the publish about mining for saltpeter, being influenced by luck.

Does it still effect ilshenar paragon marty drops?

Heck man lucks been broke for years. I get better loot with around 600-700 luck than I do with a 2000+ luck suit.

Oh that is true. I think it was Draconi that actually finally admitted something was screwy with it. And I don't think it was ever resolved before or after the staff changes (lay off or firing or quitting or whatever). But I think the problem comes when you get your luck above what the cap was in the original system. So like you say, 600 to 700 luck works well.

I'm just glad to find out before I bought all this luck stuff. It amazes me how much people were paying for the 140 luck carbs.

I took some time off a while back and there was a Friday Five that said they had changed it to a points sytem instead of highest damager and luck. Could not find that due to UoHerald seemingly having issues with archives. But did find some info on it being a points system here:

Could be they combined the points system along with the old system too. Maybe we will get some clarification on it soon, then again we have all been waiting for them to actually fix luck for a long time now... so I ain't holding my breath
