Luck....is it for everyone?

Ive got a few questions about luck and how it works.....done some quick searchs, but you all know how great the search engines are on the UO websites....

These questions are for holding a party, not breaking it, during a peerless run.
1. How much does luck really effect loot/rare drop at peerless?
2. How does luck work, is it a combination of everyones luck or just the highest persons?
3. Was told that while holding party, the person that opens the corpse first has to have the highest luck to get the best odds of loot. Is this correct? And if so, does that mean the other players dont even need luck?
4. Also been told/read that loot is effected by the person with the highest damage to the peerless, is this correct? And that would just complicate things.

Ive done some quick/unofficial testing, but swoop loot isnt the same as peerless. And I seem to get different results depending on the site/person I talk to. If you could straighten out some of this it would be very greatful.

To my knowledge the luck affects loot based on the highest damage dealer to the peerless - at least I hope thats how it works because that's how I've been choosing who puts the luck suit on.

I seen this page but seemed a bit out dated. Stratics still has some old info floating around. With the birth of luck statues and new luck items, 2k + luck is easily aquired and the highest luck on that page is around 1200....so wasnt sure if it still went with game.

10th anniversary statue, gives you additional luck for 1 hour based on your account age. You can only use it once in a 24 hour period.

i know in the last year or 2 luck was revamped it should b in one of the five on friday posts. im trying to find it rt now. but i think it is still mainly based the same as it was before. with some minor changes.

Yeah. The changes weren't so minor, and the stratics page is in fact wrong.

The luck of the top attacker is the only number that matters. Loot is generated once based on that luck value, nothing else factors in. When in a party, it is not averaged. The top attacker doesn't even have to be a member of the party, their luck will benefit whoever is present.
