Luck and Mining

Does Luck matter with regard to what metals you get when mining?

Meaning, if you have higher luck do you have a better chance at getting valorite, verite, etc.....?

Luck has nothing to do with Mining / Lumberjacking. Only your Skill counts and if you are a Human or Elv. Elvs gets faster Colored Stuff.

Wow. I didnt know that regarding Elves. Does that go for wood types and lumberjacking as well?

Where can I read more of the details of the benefits of being an Elf "mule" and mining +/- lumberjacking?

How significant is the difference? What is the downside to being an elf gathering? Anything?

The main downside to being a Elf "mule", is not being able to carry alot of weight vs. Human.
Of course with being able to recieve more colored ore means less iron ore.
(to clear up any misconceptions - If a mining location gives golden ore, a human will mine less gold ore from said location than an elf will recieve from the exact same location. This does not mean that an elf will recieve colored ore where a human would normally recieve Iron ore. It just means that the elf has a better chance of each "strike" resulting in colored ore being mined instead of iron ore.) (sorry for the long disclaimer, but it had to be clarified for the masses. )
