Luck - a question or 2

I've seen a couple of threads lately asking about the best way to make luck suits, and yet other threads saying luck is broken.

So, the questions are -

1) How much is enough?
2) Is there a point of diminishing returns? (say, is 1000 that much better than 900? 800? Follow the logical progression)

In what situations does it really matter, monster wise? I've noticed little to no difference between my 500 suit and my 1200 suit with the mid/high fame stuff (Ogre Lords, Titans, Demons) Am I aiming too low critter wise?

3) With the advent of imbuing and enhancement, does it really even matter anymore? (yes, getting items with a difficult to obtain component for imbuing is nice, but...)

I am sure this has been discussed to death, but I haven't seen anything in the last months worth of threads, and going back beyond page 15 isn't on my agenda.

Thanks

That's your answer, for most practical applications.

Try Mondain's Legacy minibosses for better loot, if you're up for it, but otherwise you can still get some good occasional pieces from titans et al. If you're after base pieces for imbuing, remember more luck means more properties as well as higher intensities, which might not be ideal. It's very rare to get exactly the item you want with one or two top properties and no junk properties, so unless you're lucky-lucky you'll probably want to unravel almost all of it.
