LS Down? [It is back]

At 5:10 Central it said "Connection Lost" and now there is no option to choose that shard on login.

Reply: It is back now and the server reverted! My first I can remember since I came back after 8 years.

On an aside, if anyone has any info about server reverts and the "server up" I hear about, please share.

Lol, 8 years and you're unfamiliar with shard downtimes? They are daily and there is a slight loss of data (not a revert) just before shard downtime. Use the EA database and search for downtime, it's there.

Yeah lol. I returned after being away for 8 years. I should have been keeping with the old EA database during that time. I don't get up every morning at 4AM to play UO. LOL. This morning I did get up at 4AM and play UO. I really should have known they were calling them system downtimes and not reverts anymore. No warning flashed on my screen "System Downtime." That would be a good idea, so everyone would know the server was going to revert back to 20 minutes ago.

DOes it happen at the same time everyday? Is there a warning that I missed somewhere?

Everyday there is a server maintenance period and also a warning to tell you it is about to go down. Roughly the same time + or - a few minutes and it comes back up 20 or 30 minutes after going down.

Been this way for a long long time now.
