Love/Hate Towns

So I am curious what everyones favorite town is? What town do you hate?

It can be a town you like the deco of, town you spent the most time in, whatever the reason is, lets hear it...

My Favorites are Brit & Delucia, I loved bank camping at Brit and minning in the mines north of graveyard. When you couldnt recall from T2A to other cities I spent all my time in Delucia, working the forges and repairing armor for tips

Hate: Luna, it ruined Brit and is ugly! Wish we had lost past event and left the city in rubble (Dear Lord Casca please invade Luna with Cannons!)

Other Notable Favorites: Minoc, loved mining with fellow miners on Mount Kendall

Britain will always be my favorite. It is full of memories for me. As far as deco, I love Zento - I am fortunate enough to have a house along the wall and even though I hurt for storage a lot of the time, I can't bring myself to trade up for a house in another place. Maybe if a bigger Zento wall house falls or goes up for sale on Cats. ^_^

I have never particularly liked towns like Buc's Den, the out-of-the-way, jungle island places. They feel both closed in because of the foliage and spread out at the same time. Even Vesper suffers from this, though I lived just outside Vesper on Fel for years and got used to it a bit. I hate Umbra, even though I like dark and spooky things generally. It feels ugly and disorganized and getting in and out is a bit of a pain.

I actually like Buc's Den...i enjoyed the out-of-the-way feel...when "Power Hour" existed I would do my smithing in Bucc's because of the "myth" that you gain more if your on a server with less people.

I lived in Brit so believing that myth I spent months smithing in Buccs trying to GM instead of smithing at home

Haha, I don't know if I've ever heard that one. I'd believe it of mining up gems though. My husband and I mine together along the same mountain when one of us gets low on ingots and I'm lucky to get one or two gems in about 10 sturdy shovels' worth of mining. When I'm alone, I average one or two per shovel.

My favorites are classic ones that have kept their theme, that weren't built in a hurry to get some expansion out, and as a result looked neat, finished and mostly unique.

I hate Brit since the lizard man invasion statue and new bank design, Maginica since the invasion, New Haven, Umbra, Luna and Zento. The newer ones remind me of those sorts of games where you can build your own levels with various sized wall/flooring tools set on the largest and most bland. They look rushed.

Ahh the Brit bank on Pacific is still the same as it was years ago(except for the lizard man statute)

It has a few blood tiles but no crazy decos (like waterfalls)

Many years ago my favorite town was Ocllo. It actually had people milling around and doing stuff. I used it for making potions.

Next, my fav hangout was the bank at Papau. I like the stilts and you could hide under it and watch the idiots getting whacked when caught snooping or stealing.

Now its Brit bank or Luna, unless you want to be alone.

I never cared for Trinsic.

To go back on what Lord GOD(GOD) said about changes....

The one change that bugs me is the music...Brit's music was changed and now it is AWFUL, not nearly as bad as Ocllo which sounds like "My Heart Will Go On - Titantic" combined with war path indian drums.

Make matters worse Minoc Trammel has no music and Fel Minoc's music sounds like it should be used for Brit

Hmm I love Brit city because thats where I started. I love Brit more now because I designed the Chesapeake Bank. Ummm. Also a weird one. I loved
the city of yew and Empath Abby. I liked to bank there and chat with
people. Was always a good crowed and the average red who knew the
guard lines.

Still remember the first time I found a rune to Nujel'm... even though I don't like sandstone, I love that city. It looks like a city, not a mish-mash of attempts at winding streets and "random" growth. Only sad thing for me is not being able to place there.

I love the huge chessboard in that city, I would love to get 32 people (16 Dressed in White, 16 Dressed in Black) and play a life sized game of chess...

Always thought that would make for good times but finding 32 organized people is near impossible...

The music in Nujelm (Atleast in Fel Side) is amazing, similar to Mozart, I love it.

I love Moonglow, I've never understood why more people don't hang out there. Everything in glow is within a few screens. I HATE Vesper, it's ridiculously large and everything is so spread out.

My favorite city is Moonglow. I used to go to Moonglow for everything during my early days on Atlantic. Now, my favorites are Umbra and Tokuno. I like the dark stone and the starry river, plus I own a house right next to the west bridge. I like Tokuno because I think it is pretty; a little too many NPCs, though.

I never liked Vesper. I found the bridges annoying. I never really liked Trinsic, either. Too big. Of course, I hate Luna.

Love Zento because of the deco there. Hate Luna because of the pure ugliness of the whole thing.

I started in Skara so it will always be my first love. It's so convenient with everything there, shores, quick access to land, and even a moongate. I like all the older cities, and don't really hate any. I don't travel much to Vesper, Trinsic, or Buc's Den since they are too awkward to get around.

Love: Skara, Brit, Nujelm...Nujelm would have to be my all time favorite, just because of the palace and gardens and stuff. Never could hang out there full time tho, since I'm a mage, and there are no mage shops. ;)

Hate: a strong word, dislike maybe, New Haven...It's just not right LOL

Love Magincia, Nujel'm, and to a lesser extent, Moonglow.

Loathe New Haven. Whomever was responsible for designing that city should be beaten with Katrina's Crook. It's poorly designed and just plain ugly... totally not a suitable place to introduce a game to new players.

Vesper, Umbra, Skara, Nujelm. Hate Luna, dislike Trinsic. It's the sandstone that gets me, just so ugly. Luna isnt actually a city, it's a housing zone with a bank and walls. Where do the NPCs live??

I love Zento, Skara Brae and Moonglow. I'm fond of Britain and Umbra and really there's something about all of the old cities that I like. I also enjoy visting the Gargoyle city (I always forget it's name).

Luna and New Haven, imo, are the worst town mistakes ever to happen to the game. I dislike both greatly.
