Just in case those of you that couldn't make it would like to know what happened. Now, I wasn't planning on doing this, so I only took screenies for the first half! Y'all will have to imagine the rest (unless someone else wants to offer up some screenies).
It seems that Mythic is trying something new with this event arc - good notification. A lovely and festive lantern (which I really want - need to complete that rainbow of lanterns) was placed square in the middle of Luna bank announcing the time with a rune to the location right by it.
The rune lead to our snazzily decorated Counselor's Hall in North Britain. EM Annendora, in charge of weddings and all things love related, arrived a bit early to chat.
She has quite a sense of humor....
At promptly 7:00 PST, she got right down to why she had called us together.
It seems a nasty succubus by the name Natlevine was holding up the wedding of a nice Britannian couple (although I wonder if the soon to be groom might have a little case of wandering, um, eyes). Well, regardless of why, the groom and groomsmens' hearts were laying in a set of five boxes for all to hear - although we weren't allowed to poke them. In order to save this wedding, EM Annendora sent us off to negotiate ("by any means necessary") with Natlevine for the keys to the boxes.
The bold Natlevine was waiting for us in the Britain watchtower, which we all arrived at shortly due to excellent directions from EM Annendora. Except maybe the men, you know how they are with directions.
Natlevine was quick to agree to tell us that the keys were with her followers. She would gladly give us the location of her followers in exchange for five items - a bola ball, a daemon bone, a map fragment, a power crystal, and a gear. Without stopping to ask what devious contraption she might be building with these items, we dashed off to retrieve them. (Please take a moment to remember the dozens of wandering healers who "assisted" the search for map fragments.)
Upon receiving the items she opened a gate to her followers. Fifty Followers of Natlevine waited on the other side - although I'm not sure if they were more surprised to see us, or us them. (I am sure that Natlevine was a bit less than honest with them about why they were there.) They were quickly relieved of their keys.
The keys were brought back and tried in the locks. Four of the five keys had been retrieved and EM Annendora happily traded prizes for the keys (the rumor mill has said something about candelabras). The wedding will go on! (Alas, the last groomsman may not make the wedding. Perhaps the mages in Moonglow could help.)
