IGN Delves Deep into Moria
"The team has done an excellent job extrapolating material from the novels and using their own imagination to fill in the gaps. Though Tolkien only describes one path through the Mines, Turbine has fleshed out Moria so that it feels like a real kingdom, complete with gardens, infrastructure and industries. We obviously didn't have time to see everything while down in Moria, but we did get a sense of the wide range of atmospheres that the team has created. While you might assume that Moria is one dark tunnel after another, there are brightly lit gardens, glittering golden halls, and molten caverns."
