Lost most of the items on me...

I was fighting Sicarii, died, and didn't have enough to reinsure my items. I died again, and I lost almost everything I had on me. But not quite all. I had some orange petals and smokebombs, which seemed to stay with me, as well as my blessed items. Everything else was gone. I was rezzed fairly quickly, and close to my body. I had hoped maybe one of the dread spiders had taken my stuff, even though they don't usually loot, and even then its only a couple of items, not an entire set of armor and numerous extra items as well. Has anything quite like this happened to anyone else?

not to insult you or anything but..............................

are you sure you looted the NEW corpse and not an old one already looted? i only ask as i am guilty of doing this alot during the chaos of invasions etc

I am afraid I looted the wrong body too and lost all. Just not today but a couple days ago. Reason I know is I thought it strange the spiral gas looking thing stayed once I looted was a bug. After a time it was gone. Was normal ever since.

The exact same thing happened to me. I had two corpses to loot, one was bones, the other was not. I did not have auto renew insurance on.

I died, went and ressed, came back and looted my body. All items accounted for. Insurance had worked for all items I had insured, which was those items I was was wearing that were not blessed. (Lower reagent suit)

I died again (quite soon after), went and ressed. Nothing on me except the blessed items. ARGH I said as I checked I had not set auto renew on.
I dashed in, looted my corpse, dashed out. WHOA no suit.

I went back, BOTH corpses still there, I double checked them both, opened them, closed them, logged in and out and checked bag. Paged a GM but had no response before my corpses decayed.

I was on Magincia docks fighting the ghosties, as far as I know they have no history of looting corpses.

Something fishy with insurance, not auto renewing and dying.

I'm sorry for your loss. I was lucky I could replace my items (one was minor Tokuno Artifact spellbook)

It was ONLY the items that had been insured that I lost, nothing else.

Similar story: fighting Sicarii during the first weekend, died three times (once in Wrong, thanks for the dread spiders folks!) and my non-insured items were not on any of the three corpses.

Only lost bandages, reagents and a few odds and ends, so I didn't worry about it too much. I assumed I just missed a corpse, which is still a possibility.

The drones will loot you as well. Had that happen a few times down there with my bandages. But it gets so confusing and so many bodies it's hard to keep up with old or new and which thing took what.

Sicarii and the drones use Bags of Sending.

But yeah.. I lost my insured talisman fighting invasion spawn in Brit.

Thank you all for your responses. Yes, I had the right corpse, because it was the only one there, the other having already decayed. I got some of the items back, mostly things that stack, and my scissors! I lost all of my armor, and several weapons and other items that I had cluttering my pack. I didn't lose anything of any substantial value. (Just the headache of having to replace them all!) Basically, I was curious if I was hit by some random new bug, or if it had been going on awhile, and I had been lucky so far.

The best bet when your in this situation is to res and hand your items to a trusted freind to get them insured. Right Away! Then they can give it back to you and you will be insured for one death. Then LEAVE! IMMEDIATELY! Go farm some gold borrow a check SELL SOMETHING! Then recheck auto re insure.

Sorry to hear about this I know it must be lag related.
