Looking to join an RP Guild, if not to start one.

I'm an old returning player looking for an RP guild to join. I prefer an RP but with a touch of PvP if possible. PvM (as its called here, is fine with me too.) It's been a long time since I played, almost 9 years.

My main is Killusion, who was a human 100 mage, who I decided to turn into a Gargoyle. I realize that a lot has change, but I'm willing to learn.

I really don't care about being the best as long as those around me are enjoying themselves. So if anyone is interested in an old Noob, let me know.

If on the other hand someone wants to start an RP guild, count me in. Would enjoy helping a new guild build from the bottom up.

I am WarderDragon, the leader of the Baja Roleplayers Alliance [BRPA]. We host virtually all known and active roleplaying guilds on the Baja Shard; including but not limited to the Kingdom of Dawn, the Village of Avalon, the Golden Knights, Queen Shieba's Alliance, the Rangers of the Realm, and the Rebels of Unity.

I am interested in what kind of character you play. What kind of roleplay are you interested in? We do include some PvP in our storylines. Once I know that I can point you in the right direction.

Well.. I'm a Mage Gargoyle for starters, but I have a more complex background. I'm still trying to write out my character story, but the run down is this. I included a reason for my long absence. (I would love some input and help in fleshing out the character, I don't mind constructive criticism and just ignore those that are not.)

My character Killusion (as I'll refer to him, not his real name btw) was human in the beginning. He served under the Murderer, Lord Hades. But as time went by, the power of Lord Hades and the Lords of the Dead (LotD) began to waiver until eventually they collapsed. While on retreat, Killusion returned to find the order was gone, so he wandered for a while until he met up with the Circle of White Ravens.

The meeting with the Circle was not peaceful, battle ensued. Out-skilled and out numbered, Killusion was defeated to the brink of death. Before the final blow could be landed, their leader halted the attack. She found pity on Killusion and nursed him back to health herself.

Finding this compassion for a defeated enemy, Killusion was moved. He then decided to stay with the Circle. Learning their ways in combat and in life, years pass and that dark deep desire was suppressed.

One day during a hunting party with fellow Circle members, they were ambushed. Killusion saw a fellow member go down, then turned and the last thing he saw through a powerful dark mist was a figure. Then all things went black as he felt himself falling, then nothingness.

Suddenly as if jolted screaming from a nightmare, he opened his eyes as he screamed. He was standing in the open in the city of what he now learned as the Gargoyle city. Looking down, he noticed his hands and feet were not his own, but that of a gargoyle. His reflection in the pool reflected as much. Without hesitation, he wandered in silence as not to alert any suspicions. He managed to find his way to a Moongate and traveled out of the area to the land he thought he knew. There, he discovered much has changed, years have passed, memories have faded and those he called friends have long gone.

This thread brought back memories. I am the last surviving member of the Circle of the White Raven [CwR] and the Village of Ravenshire; Bronwyn & Co. having taken in this young newbie all those years ago. I still consider myself a member and continued to live there until the last building fell and our leader departed these lands for another.

As for where I would suggest? We have a number of Town and Village Guilds (The Kingdom of Dawn and the Villages of Avalon and Golden); Knighthoods (The Golden Knights and the Knights of the Blue Rose); Bands of Woodsmen (Rangers of the Realm); Theives and Rogues (Order of the Crow and the Ministry of Pain); Guards and Soldiers (Town Guards of Britain); and so fourth.

What would I suggest? We also possess a central umbrella guild (The Baja Roleplaying & Event Alliance). We're all linked together and are functionally one guild (Green); but the umbrella stone allows folks who have either not found a guild quite yet or who choose to remain independent but still wish to be part of the alliance to remain in communication and benefit as a member of the Alliance.

Wow, glad to see not all the White Ravens are gone. I played with Bron in WoW for a while, helped her found the White Kodo Clan there. But left that game a while back. I actually go way back with Bron to the First year of UO. I went by the name of Achillus as my main, used Killusion for PvP.

So where is that Umbrella guild stone you mentioned? I think I would prefer to go that route till i can find a guild within its membership.

My home City is Vesper/Minoc. Can't decide between the two. I'm in Trammell now till i can get my character ready for pvp.

Insurance, mostly. I'm sure you can ask on General Chat how this is done. Be sure to have it set on Auto-Insure (which I believe is the default now).

To fight back requires a bit more: a finished template, correct gear and an overall plan, whether that is defensive or offensive or merely escape. If you'd like to know more about that, there are many who can give advice. I can also help, ICQ me @ 51520025.

Thank you superken and warder dragon for all the advice and welcoming me back. I've played a lot of other mmos (almost all of them), but UO is probably the best sandbox mmo and for sure has the best community. Also, a lot of great people in Baka.

Doh, almost forgot I need ICQ. Is that still the predominant chat?

Yes. ICQ still dominates as far as messangers go; although it is no longer as necessary with Guild, Alliance, and Global Chat Channels.

Welcome back to UO and Baja, Killusion. AIM and ICQ are almost interchangeable, meaning you can Message AIM users and ICQ from either platform. I mention this because I use both, frequently.
