Looking for template advice...

I know most are still learning the ins & outs, but I was hoping to get some advice from the community at large.

I have a Gargoyle character that I plan to use for PvM only at this time. I loaded him up with GM Magery, Resist, Eval, Med and Tactics and added Throwing and Mysticism. My thought was to use the Swords of Prosperity if I got in over my head while in close combat. Of course I was not thinking about the fact that Gargoyles can not use all items and only those that can be converted. I am not sure if the SoP can be converted or not, but I have also been reading that swords mixed with throwing can provide a fair melee and ranged option (at least in PvM).

I am torn between finding a nice throwing weapon with like attributes as the SoP and sticking with my Mysti-Throwing-Mage or do I join the in crowd and reconfigure with Chiv, Swords and so on while dropping the Magery/Mysticism...

Certainly this is mostly personal choice, but I would like to read what you lot think.

I took the swordsmanship bonus to throwing to mean that if you had swords, you could do melee damage up close with your throwing weapon. I haven't tested this, or done anything with throwing as of yet, but it seems to make more sense than having to switch from a throwing weapon to a sword while fighting.
