Looking for info on an item - Red Check

A freiend of mine came into possession of a red box, weight 255 stones, that has a single red check, value 1 inside it. We are unable to find info on it, and were wondering if anyone has heard of this item or anything like it.

It was created last year in response to the checks that exceeded 1m in value. Anyone who had recieved a check with a denomination larger than 1m had it replaced with one of these red checks so that they could have it converted into the appropriate amount of gold in the appropriate check denominations.

Ok, well that is interesting! Do you know how they are turned in to be converted to standard checks? And does it seem possible that it could have value to someone just as it stands?

Yes this was covered not long ago. Back a year or two ago these were made by GM's when they removed all the checks in the game that where over 1000000 in value. In most cases the checks were just converted to normal checks and left in place of the large checks. But in some cases the GM's took the over sized checks and left the red check and the owners were to contact the gms and have there checks converted.

Short story the red checks were left to people that GM's wanted to question be for deciding if they were getting there large checks converted or there accounts caned. Many accounts got band for the over size checks and the red box and checks were not meant to be movable. So most likely the ones out there that are movable probably came from IDOC's or some kind of exploit.

LOL Actually, I believe the guy who has the check decided to take an offer from another player for 4 mil rather than try his luck with the GM. Better him than me, I say :p

Actually it really may not explain what the OP is talking about. I have two player crafted red crates with red checks in them. Each red check says a bank check and is valued at 1, and they both weigh 255+weight of crate. Both crates are crafted by Einstein. I got them last year on Europa at an idoc that no one else bothered to be at.

Also I'd like to point out that no one got banned just for having oversized checks. I sold a keep and had a 40m check from someone sitting in a bag that was supposed to get converted and instead I got nada for it, except that bag that sat on top that had some text on it, I forget what. It took a while but eventually I got reimbursed. The people who got banned were people who were duping those checks among other things.

The red checks were replacement checks so that a single check didn't get replaced with 50 or whatever number checks that may throw someones lockdowns off or oversuff their bank. I did hear tho I dont' know if it was confirmed that there was some kind if issue with people being able to just take those red checks out of other people's bags. I do know that the bag I had with the check in it had a new pouch or backpack or whatever on top with the text on it, and it was empty. So maybe someone nabbed my check and the GMs had to make me more, maybe it just vanished or decayed, who knows.

To Clear things up a bit, i recently bought a red crate / red check for 5m JUST to see what would happen.

GM told me that red checks are checks that USED to value for 20m or more. Yet they no longer have any value at all

if paged upon these crates and checks will be deleted by GM's, they are not illegal to own yet they have no value

Not 100% sure why GM's del em, other than they serve no purpose. when this patch was implemented to convert checks over 1m players with red checks were told to page GM's im assuming to let the GM's know, or GM's might have refunded the checks back then, i do know that they Will Not refund checks now

he told me that my check USED to be worth over 20 million but now it has a value of 0 so he cant refund anything, he said he could give me a gold check with a value of 0 but thats all he could do. So pretty much if you have a red check or you've paid for a red check etc ur just S.O.L heh

ey are not illegal to own have no value, but GMs will delete them? Why delete them then? Just one of the many wonders of the universe! Thanks for the info.
