Hello all,
While on subject of April - I have an April 1st Gift box on my Test Centre chararter - Had a quick read about on the boards but did not see anything about them - is there anything about whats planed with these?

I am all for the fixing of things but the game has gotten so stale we really need something to do. Anything really it could be something simple just something new to see and do is all we need right now.

Look im not trying to be rude, im not trying to be mean, please read what im about to say objectivly...
They are ALWAYS fixing somthing. Theres always some major thing going on. Since they first announced KR they have been flat out doing one thing or another. Seriously i dont give a [censored] about all this fixing. KR isnt ready to be released and they shouldnt have people paying them to test it for them.
I know all the fixing isnt about KR, its about BoS, gold sinks and bla bla bla. Whatever! Seriously im angry. I want to log in and have somthing to be excited about! Bring back EMs NOW!
If we have to wait till they dont need to be fixing stuff before we have an event, well.... im not even going to finish that.

Once I figured out that <u>you</u> are the architect of your own experience, life (both in-game & out) became a whole lot more fulfilling and a whole lot less disappointing.

If you're going to be dogmatic about self-reliance for entertainment, why would people be paying a company at all? Obviously on some level they are aiding the experience and I don't think it's unfair to be a little demanding from time to time.

[/ QUOTE ]The effigies are still burning, the shine's barely worn off the stuffies & Global Event Champ Roses, the pink neon bunnies are still spawning as are new choc ingredients, and the April Fool's Day boxes are already on TC1.
This stuff is merely during the time period of Draconi & Kilandra's first meeting, their marriage & now their honeymoon! (still awaiting pix on that btw...)

Im paying $12usd a month for somthing thats entertaining.... sorry if you dont like hearing other peoples opinions. Sorry but i just cant stand people who think that anyone who doesnt completley agree with their point of view are wrong.

1. There does indeed appear to be an event in the works. See this thread.
2. While I do not agree that fixing things should come before new content every time, I do appreciate that they are fixing things.
So, umm.....If they keep on playing it smart we can indeed have it both ways.
Now it's on us to appreciate having it both ways. Lest we discourage them.

My solution to uo boredom....log out of your accounts and walk away from the computer.
I've always found that short breaks of a few days to a week or two help to reinterest me in uo when it starts to get boring.

I pay a monthly fee for someone else to do that. They fail.
Fixing bugs is not something I pay for.
It seems to me the reasoning is simple. UO fails to provide the content it should. It needs to step it up. Enough excuses for poor content already.

Ummm.... I just came from looking at Moonglow on both Trammel and Felucca on the Test Shard and, as of right now, there isn't anything where that construction used to be; not even a hole in the ground.
The radar map still shows what looks like a hole in the ground but, using 2D anyway, there is nothing but grass.

Nico is absolutely right here.
I'd take the fixes over pixel crack any day of the year. I'd gladly not see any new items or events for a year, if it meant that the bugs were fixed and we had a strong base to build the game on.
You can make your own fun events in UO if you're bored. Much as I've dabbled in the odd EA event and scenario, I feel the players themselves are better at creating events for their specific shard and guild. Give me old school RP over pixel crack spawns any day lol.

I think one of the current issues is that not only does UO currently have a skeleton crew it FEELS painfully obvious they have a skeleton crew.
It didn't help that the much hyped 'event' by the Dev Team in Feb not only failed miserably it lasted all of 10 minutes on each shard. Seriously, the team did good lately by the mass 'burnings' but overall they ru n the game like complete and utter amateurs, and there really is no excuse for such notions in what they get PAID to do.
I am a subscriber of two onlines currently, but a total of seven given my past. Why is UO the only one of these who consistently pulls such unprofessional things?

They have fixed many stuff and i liked it, but i dont want to pay for fixes or servers.
I want to pay devs for the effort they have to create an interesting world.
Chocolade and the items you got at val. day were fun but nothing more then salt or pepper in UO.
