We've been here for 12 years. Why do the login servers still not work properly? Seriously, how hard is that to keep operating correctly. Every week, at some point we can't login. We all know there's nothing we can do about it. You dev folks know there's nothing we can do about it. We're obviously not going to quit playing after all these years because of it. It would be great though if you would actually fix it.

Yes, and that "some point" is the weekly Server maintenance time for the login servers, Tuesday morning at 5 AM Eastern US time. Sometimes, work on it means that it takes a little longer on Tuesday.

1. Quite rude basara. People have opinions (such as yours, wow) and often it is necessary to "tell someone" about it, so as to feel as if it might make a difference. I might suggest if your having a bad day / morning, to pause, count to 10, and realize just perhaps your snotty reply ISNT necessary.
2. Since Im IN the biz, a backup server that takes control while maintenance is being done on the primary, and then vice versa, would CEASE this stupidity. 12 years of cluelessness is about enough, and they need to be called on it EVERYDAY until it happens.
