Login Message: Problem Communicating with Origin

I've been playing for about an hour. Decided to change toons and now I can't log back in. I keep getting the following message:

There is some problem communicating with Origin. Please restart Ultima Online and try again.

I've restarted several times, tried force patching, and tried in both 2d and SA clients. Obviously, my internet is working fine - I'm posting, aren't I?

What am I doing wrong?

This error usually happens when the login server goes down. In essence, the shards are up, but the server that handles your username and password is down.
