Login issues after server maintenance???

I went to log in and couldn't so this is what I found out.

On March 27th we are performing maintenance on the Housing warehouse, Vet Reward warehouse, promo codes and character transfer system. To be able to do this smoothly we will be taking these systems down for approx five hours starting at 1:00 pm EST. During this time the login servers will be down for several hours between 1pm and 5pm EST. At the end of the migration we will be taking down all shards for approx an hour to load the changes into memory and will then re-enable login, warehouse and application services . At this time we will then enable all warehouses and you will be able to start and complete character transfers again.

Thank you very much for your continued patience with us while we complete these tasks.


Now I can not login. Can anyone else login? Says couldn't log in to ultiima online ...

I type my password in and it locks up for about a minute then says it cannot connect to UO servers and pushes me back to the password/log-in screen. Hope this is whats happening to yous alls and it wasn't my 6 year old making some change while he was playing his games.

You shold be able to log in a few minutes. It said 7 pm EST

well 7 EST has come and gone now . Oh ya I just remembered it did start like over 3 hours late so maybe that 7EST has now gone up 10 EST?

Test only wtf gerrr, don't they know I'm trying to get my Siege on? As far as the date & time it looks normal to me. 4:11 pm todays date. Stratics has been jack up though for the last few days.

A friend of mine just said in vent she is having login problems too. So far only like 8-10 shards up & Siege is one of them.

My friend said she had to reboot her whole system. Comp and router. Now she is logged in.

I was able to log on to Siege a few minutes ago (about 2:25 am Eastern Daylight Time), but only after rebooting my computer. I did not have to change any file information.

It is really weird - I know someone who could log in with one of his computers, *but not* with his other computer. That being said, I'm sure they are aware of it, but post in UHall or the bug thread or something! You might want to mention what type of computer you are using and what operating system - and anything else you can think of that might help them get to the bottom of it!

Also - check all of your anti-virus settings and such. Since we know they have moved the location of 'where' the stuff 'lives' it might be getting blocked by a spam/virus filter that does not recognize the new location as being "safe"!

Thanks Petra, but again when i get to windows\system32\drivers\etc theres no host file inside. Show hidden files is checked and i launched notepad as Admin. I can't remember what step im missing.

A guild mate of mine can login on one account but not on some of the other accounts he has. I on the other hand have had no problems at all.

Tell me when they resolve it, and then I'll bother logging in. Not worth my time to try and work around.
