If I lock down a chest and set the security to anyone, is it possible for others to unlock it or only the owner of the house can unlock it? Can someone please let me know if you know it for sure? I have never done locked down chest before :) Thanks..

It would be possible for anyone to open the chest, and remove items. That is if they are allowed to get to it in the first place. (Meaning your house is set to "public.")

I was not able to remove the items from the locked down chest (even if it is set to "Anyone"). did you mean they can unlock the entire container and remove it? Yes, the house is set to public and the container security is set to "Anyone".

no, only the homeowner can remove the chest or the items inside by unlocking them ~~ I have chests in my home locked down and set to anyone so that contents can be viewed

this is only true for chests that are *locked* down, not chests that are *secured* down ~~ if you say "I wish to secure this" and set it to 'anyone' then yes, anything in the chest can be removed by anyone

Say 'i wish to secure this' instead of lock down and you will be able to access your items.

Thanks :) This is exactly what I wanted. I don't want to secure it but locked down so that others can view the items but not remove it. 66 months vet and yet learning such a simple things :)
