Little help here, pls....

My question is regarding the Talisman in the pic below:

I'm changing my Tamer's template to include Spellweaving. I would love to use the Birds Talisman in the pic for the Taming/Lore + 5 ea - but the Bird Slayer attribute has me concerned. I know what Slayer weapons, Slayer instruments and Slayer spellbooks do, but what about Slayer Talismans? When do you see the Slayer effect? This only concerns me because I don't slay a lot of birds, so wonder about getting the opposite Slayer effect when I use Word of Death - or when my other Tamer/Bard is wearing it and having it effect his Disco's...
I've read the Wiki, but am still a bit uncertain...

My guess would be that a Bird slayer is not included in the slayer groups that have opposite effects but I don´t know...

i am sure i had a vermin slayer on my archer and it gave the white flash as to the effects working when i fought ratmen.

I think they work for Mages But I know they do not work for Tamers that are using a Pet to do the work.

Slayers go to the damage done by the Char and if I am not mistaken they work for casters as well, but they do not add to Tamers pets.

Dexxers get double slayer easy Tally and Wep. I could see Mages screaming Spellbook and Tally combo not working. That would be a Major unblance in PvM.

Slayer Talismans (ie Bird Slayer, Ice Slayer, etc..) do not work for mage spells. Nor does Killer% ability on a talisman confer any bonus to spell damage for mages.
Mages use slayer spellbooks instead of talismans. Slayer Talismans (ie Bird Slayer, Ice Slayer) as well as Killer% ability is confered to armed combat weapons.

However there are talismans like Mana Phasing Orb that give bonuses like Spell Damage Increase 5% that DO work for mages.

Who said dexxers can get double? I don't think that is the case, and besides even IF that were the case the second slayer would likely be over cap and have no effect anyway.

I don't think you can get double anyway... the slayer types on Books/Weapons don't really overlap with those on Talismans do they?

I use Repond slayer weapon and Vermin slayer tali at Barracoon champ spawn all the time. Whirlwind with hit area dmg FTW! *Note, Barracoon is only vulnerable to the Vermin tali when he is in rat form.

This works the same for all the talis, but is subject to the 300% dmg cap.
Enslaved Goblins (Repond weapon, Goblin tali)
Ice Fiend (Demon weapon, Ice tali)
Lich Lord (Undead weapon, Mage tali)

So the Undead Tally and an Undead Slayer would do the same?

Sorry have to join the mage guild to get access to those secrets and we only talk about those at the Legendary meetings. *laughs*
