1st Class Change Quests
The 1st class change quest can be undertaken when your character hits level
18. At this time the quest may be started by visiting the appropriate NPC. You
cannot change class until you complete the quest, and hit level 20.

The 2nd class change quests are done in 3 parts1. Usually you do
the first one at level 35, the second at level 37, and the last at level 39.
And then when you hit level 40 you can be your new class and learn skills, etc.
The first quest done at level 35, is *normally* the same within each first
level class. i.e. all Warriors do the Trial of Challenger, all Rogues do the
Trial of Seeker. The only ones that are not like this are the Elven Knights
and the Palus Knights.
The second quest done at level 37 is the same within each race. All Humans do the Test of Trust,
all Elves do the Test of Life, all Dark Elves do the Test of Fate, all Orcs do the
Test of Glory, and all Dwarves do the Test of Prosperity.
The third quests are split among the specialty types of the 2nd level classes.
i.e. Future Hawkeyes, future Silver Rangers and future Phantom Rangers do Judgment
of Sagittarius. (Sagittarius is the constellation of the Archer). etc. etc.
1The Kamael race only has a single quest, found at level 39, to
certify them as their second class.

Don't use the Dimensional Diamonds they give you; as long as you are not 41st lvl or higher you can teleport free anywhere as of the Gracia update. Save the DDs for later when your clannies are asking you to port all over creation for sieges and groups on the opposite end of the continent, as they invariably do.

DO buy LOTS and LOTS of SoEs; you will need them unless you like running for hours on end back and forth to the same areas.

It is often helpful to wait until at least lvl 39 to do all 3 quests at once, as many of the 3 quests will overlap each other a few times, allowing you to hit the same mob for 2 or more quests at once. It also reduces running around, but requires considerable research & planning beforehand to pick the best path.

Starting at lvl 40 will allow you to wear and wield C grade for the quests, which will help a LOT, since these quests are frequently not scaled for even upper lvl D graders; our Korean friends probably assumed you would get help on your quests from clannies, but as the server populations in Korea are like 10x what they are in NA, this isn't always a viable option here.

NOTE: as of Gracia pt 1, you can now skip the whole big triple quest; speak with Daegar in the blacksmith shop in Giran for the "Good Work's Reward" quest. this takes all of like 5-10 minutes and will cost you 3mil adena. I have never completed this quest (started it but had no idea what it was until right AFTER running through an alt's triple CC quests!) but it looks like you don't get a lot of XP as a result. This might be very good for some folks, or it might not. At any rate, tho I think it a bit sad, you can now buy 2nd class once you hit 39th.

Just was bored and read this thread for whatever reason. It is some good information.

However, I highly recommend packing soul shots if you are a fighter or spirit shots (in most cases you will be D grade). Research prices carefully on your applicable server. These items help immensely with the class change quests.
